Yuuki Cross searched through the Cross Academy for any problems as the night class were in 'school'. Standing on a roof, she let out a soft sigh and smiled.

"Times like these I don't even think we need to be out." Looking around, she noticed Zero's lack of presence. "Where did he go now! I hope he didn't leave me here!!!" She jumped down from the roof and ran to find Zero.

Grumbling, Yuuki's search for her friend was fruitless. 'Where could he possibly be?!' She crossed her arms. A soft echo of running fluttered into her ear. 'Z-Zero?' Bullet shot shattered the night's silence; a scream of sheer pain followed.

"Zero!!!" Yuuki shouted and burst into a incredibly fast sprint. Her conscious was flooded with pure terror as she continued to hear Zero being mauled.

Zero Kiryuu barely stood as blood poured out from his left arm. His breathing was nothing more than wheezing. 'D-Dammit!' Narrowing his eyes on the human/canine-like beast looming above him. Blood and saliva was smudged around it mouth as it growled. He slowly raised Bloody Rose at the monster and shot multiple times; they barely left a scratch. 'Bloody Rose's bullets have no effect!!!' The creature raised it's clawed hand and dove down onto Zero.

Blood flew into the air. Zero hit the ground and a pang with though his entire body. He struggled to sit up and realized that the attack missed. 'But... it was right above me...' A soft whimper arose from in front of him. Zero looked up and saw Yuuki stumbled to the ground and slashed open in the back.

"Yuuki!!!" He shrieked and quickly withdrew Bloody Rose; Shooting the beast without pause.

The thing ran quickly on all four as it was shoot at; but that wasn't why it was leaving. Tears flowed openly from it eyes as it dashed further and further from the school grounds. 'No...! No...!' It began to run more and more humanoid. 'Jurian saw me! She saw me...!' A depressing howl broke it heart along with the outside world. 'There's no ---! Th-There's no hope for me!!!'

Yuuki woke up to the color of a light pink. Noticing that it was her eyelids that she was looking at, she opened her eyes slowly. Kaien Cross smiled widely as he saw his 'daughter' wake up.

"Oh Yuuki!" He called out in a lovingly (and slightly hyper) tone. "I'm so glad you're awake!!!" Zero sniffed the air.

"Good. You don't smell like blood." He commented rather bluntly.

"You don't have to be so rude about it!" She yelled. A sharp pain ran down her spine. "O-ow...." She whispered mentally as she winced.

"Yuuki; I'd think it would be a good idea if you didn't go to school for a few days." Cross advised. "You and Zero where hit pretty hard by that thing last night." Yuuki nodded. She looked up at the Chairman.

"What was that?" She asked. The room fell awkwardly quiet.

"I don't know Yuuki...." He replied. "I don't know...."
