Author's Note: I don't own One Piece or the lyrics. The lyrics are from Hurricane by Panic! At The Disco. This is written for the Song Time Challenge on Anime and Manga Fanfiction Challenges. The beginning takes place before Luffy defeats Arlong, and before the Straw Hats arrive in Cocoyashi Village.
I don't think it turned out that good, but oh well...
Nojiko was going through Cocoyashi Village buying groceries, and other necessities the first, time she saw him. She had stopped into a restaurant to get lunch, since she heard some screams and wanted to see why people were screaming. She knew it couldn't have been because of Arlong, since Nami would have warned her. She approached the crowd to see what everyone was staring at. It was a shirtless man, with a large tattoo on his back, who was unconscious. The other customers, and the waitress, were screaming because they thought that he had died. Nojiko turned to them, and rolled her eyes. She reached for a glass of water, which was on a table next to her, and dumped in on the sleeping man's head. He sat up quickly, and looked around confused. Nojiko stood over him and wondered how he was going to pay for all the food that he had ordered when he didn't even have a shirt, "Are you worth your weight in gold?"
The man looked up at her and shrugged before grinning, "Hey, stranger, I want you to catch me like a cold. Cause you're behind my eyelids when I'm all alone" Nojiko's face turned red, as she slapped him. He laughed, "I led the revolution in my bedroom, and I set all the zippers free. No more war, no more clothes! Give me peace. Oh kiss me!" Nojiko slapped him again, before storming out of the restaurant.
Nojiko had gone home, and thought about the man. She had found him pretty good looking, but his straightforwardness in front of all those people had put her in an awkward position. She had went back to see him again later that day. She had found him staring at a straw hat in the window of a clothing store. She had managed to sneak behind him easily, and tackle him. Nojiko laughed at his confused expression, "Fix me, or conflict me.I'll take anything."
When the Straw Hats had arrived at the village, Nojiko couldn't help but be shocked about how much the captain resembled that shirtless man, but she realized that knew nothing about him to ask if Luffy knew the man.
Nojiko couldn't help but cry when she heard the news about the events at Impel Down. She was shocked about the events just like the rest of the world, but it hurt her deeper knowing that she had a chance to be with him, but had given it up when she watched him leave the village, "But he didn't come and speak to me, or put my heart at ease.."
"Hey! They will never be the same."
