"My wife and I are both work our butts off just to pay the mortgage."
"Hodges," admonished Nick.
"What?" the lab teach replied defensively. "He should be thankful he doesn't have kids."
"Alright," said Catherine. "Back to the lab."
"Thank you!" said Hodges sarcastically. "Perhaps now you'll stop including me in your field expeditions."
Catherine laughed as she turned to Nick. "I don't know what Wendy sees in him."
Nick snorted in reply. "I find it hard to believe that Hodges is married... with two kids."
"Will wonders never cease."
"Ah, excuse me," said the man before them. "Are we done?"
"For now," said Catherine.
"Don't leave town," added Nick.
