Punish me
I have seen death and brought it with me
Why can't I die?
When tortured and in great pain
I know it is deserved
Your crimes were the least of evils
You do not bring death as your guest,
But chase it away with every step
You withstand the torture and pain so others do not
The pain is not deserved,
But you accept it with grace
The old man who can't bear to see a child cry.
