It's Volume Two time.
Four years before Volume One
Kosovar Sector
Somewhere in the Kosovar Sector of Hammond was an open field. It was a field that was always mowed, and kept groomed to perfection per orders of the Sector Commandant of Kosovo. He originally had planned for the field to be the site of an anti-air weapons site, but he decided against it, instead just keeping the field as is. It was lush, green, and peaceful.
Or it was, until till two figures started running through the field. The two were chasing each other, like they were playing tag. One was a blonde girl while the other was a brunette boy. The brunette caught up to the blonde and tackled her. The two rolled on the grass until they came to a stop, with the girl on top. They stared at each other, still smiling like idiots.
"Emilia, while I do enjoy this, why are we in the middle of a field again?" The boy asked.
The girl, Emilia, flicked the boy's head. "How could you forget? Gio, I told you before we left my house!"
"Hey, I need a hint, I wasn't listening because your father called me over."
Emilia put on a fake pout. "Fine, we were going to see something today. Just look up at the sky."
Gio looked up, as did Emilia. There was a low rumbling. Then, in the sky, passing right over them was a group of fighters. Wasp class air superiority models accompanying a group of Ambassador bombers flew over first, then a Supercarrier class ship with two Andromeda class ships passed as well. Gio stared, amazed at the sight. He always knew that Hammond boasted a powerful military. The short burst of power he just saw left him with the feeling that Hammond was second to none.
"This is what you can have Gio. Do you want that?" Emilia asked, Gio nodded in response. "Then you can have it, all you have to do is kiss me and promise to be mine forever."
At this moment, Gio woke up in his hospital bed at the ISA, sweating up a storm.
ISA (Present Time)
"Gio! You're alive!" Kanzashi shouted, tackling the poor boy. "We heard about what happened and came as soon as we could! Are you okay? Are you hurt? Tell me, please!" Kanzashi seemed to be on the verge of tears.
Gio patted her head, "I'm fine, don't worry. Something happened when Phantom Task arrived and I overexerted myself and the IS." Kanzashi just hugged him tighter, softly crying into his chest. Gio kept his hand on her head, but looked up to see Emilia. "Emilia, I remembered how the deal went down." He said. Emilia, who was leaning in the doorway, raised an eyebrow.
"How did you forget it?" She asked. She tried to bring it up with Gio before, but he could never remember what they did.
"Emilia, do you remember the Commissar Fauzer?"
