"Fenris." Hawke ran into his mansion. He had fled after killing the slaves in that cavern. They were all slaves, like he once was. He didn't want to kill them.
"Go away." Fenris buried his head in his hands. "Fenris, what did-" "I don't want to talk!" he screamed. "Just listen to me." Hawk groaned. "Go!" his voice was angered beyond the usual terror. His body was beginning to glow blue, and Hawk was really testing his patience. "Hawk, if you don't leave, you are going to die." Fenris clenched his teeth, as well as his fists. "Fenris, I-" It was too late, and Fenris was coming at her. His long talons dug into her armor, and his screams filled the mansion. Horror and hate filled up for the love and comfort inside of Hawk. Her face was mortified. Fenris didn't want to attack, but his tattoos were overpowering. "I'm sorry." Hawk whispered, her eyes large. Fenris's eyes, hands, and legs were trembling. Tears began to well up in his eyes, and his lips were slightly separated. "Damn it." He dropped Hawk and walked over to the fire, taking in a shaky sigh. Hawk landed on her bottom and groaned. Fenris stood by the fire, sobbing. Hawk sighed, and stood up, walking over to him.
"What happened?" Hawk asked. "I. Killed. Those. Slaves." Fenris whimpered, punching the brick wall beside the fire repetitively. "And?" Hawke didn't understand. Fenris paused his punches to scream. "I was a slave!" he yelled louder than before. Hawke had always known this, but now it hit home. "I-I'm sorry, Fenris." She sighed. He dropped to his knees, bawling. Hawke sighed, and knelt down beside him. "This must have been difficult, I understand." "No! You don't understand!" Fenris screamed, standing up and slamming his whole body into the door, knocking it off of its hinges. The door fell over, landing in the main stairwell. Fenris stay lying on the floor, sobbing. "Fenris." Hawke sighed, walking over to help. He was bawling, his tears dripping onto the back of the door. "Come here." Hawk sighed. Fenris sniffled, and lunged into her arms. "I feel so lost." He cried. Hawk didn't want to jeopardize his sanity, so she didn't reply. Fenris was obviously upset, and it was only love that would stop his episodes.
A slave he was, a slave he always will be...
