Three times Quinn kissed Rachel, and the one time she almost did.
(An: This is mostly about my interpretation of Quinn's feelings towards Rachel in s1 and s2- I kind of think of it as an unrequited love. I know it doesn't completely fit with the show's canon and I apologize for that- but honestly I don't think that the SHOW fits the show's canon!
Trigger warning for (heavily) implied child abuse, homophobia (some of it internalized), mentioning of a past rape (what happened in the show with Quinn and Puck), and some bigotry from an abuser under the guise of being a 'good Christian'- I understand that his views do not reflect the views of all Christians (or religious people as a whole).
I hope you enjoy )

You're eight years old, the first time you see Rachel Berry.
She's a new student at your school and you're at a group play-date at her house and your dress is too tight and your name is still Lucy and you've just seen some kid with curly hair rub his snot into his sleeve and you've been waiting for her in the living room for five minutes and your butt is really starting to ache and you just want to go home. But then, finally, Rachel comes down the stairs, and your heart stops. (She's wearing a pink sundress covered in golden stars and sparkly gold shoes and her hair is sleek and braided to the side and it reminds you of chocolate- your favorite food. Her skin is tan and her eyes are wide and brown and very pretty. )
Eventually everyone else but the two of you have left and she takes you upstairs to see her room (her daddies have just put a new wallpaper up in her room- it has a star pattern, of course). She ask you about your parents (your breath hitches), puts in one of her movies and sits on the purple couch in her room and pats a spot next to her. You fumble to the couch and sit as far away from her as possible, your palms are sweaty and your legs are shaking and you're worried that she'll ask you more questions and will think you're a freak when you don't answer (you can't) and then she's scooting close to you and talking about how she was just born to play the part of the female lead and you're grateful for the change in subject and the two of you start talking about Broadway and vocal lessons and eventually she has you role playing as the male love interest, and even though the scene does not call for it you find yourself planting a short kiss on her lips.
Your dad walks in just as your lips crash against hers and before you realize what's happening he's yanking you by your arm out of the bedroom.
The next time you see her, you're sitting on a swing and rubbing your tongue against the split on the inside of your lip, lapping up the flow of blood that still won't stop, and she glances at the long sleeves and socks that come up to your thighs and then she's looking into your eyes expectantly, like she wants to talk to you.
(You walk away)
