It was somewhat of a tradition lately - now that Seto saved up enough money for a TV - to play video games after dinner. The kids gathered in the main room, now equipped with a number of consoles and controllers for up to six players. This made for competition which either Shintaro or Takane usually won, being the most skilled in FPS games, though Momo came close at times. Again, Shintaro won and Haruka held Takane back from thrashing the NEET. Thus the night's tournament was completed and each member retired to their respective rooms.
All of them except for Kano and Kido who stayed to challenge each other in a match. It was a fighting game with all these crazy combos, Kido had many of them memorized. Kano on the other hand was far from being able to beat Kido, no matter what character she used. An hour passed and Kano had shifted into laying on his side, resting his head on Kido's lap, much to her dismay. Another hour passed and Kido lost her impeccable posture, slouching back into the couch to nestle into it. Looking up at her with cattish eyes, the blonde cracked a smirk as he said, "I'll win this next one.. You'll see~" with such determination in his voice.
Flashing across the screen in blue, "Fight!" Kido started with a near finishing blow that sizably reduced the blonde's health. With a light chuckle Kano sat up and looked at the stone-faced girl, eyes glowing that certain red as his shaped faded to herself, but in a tanktop and a frilly skirt. "KANO." Flushing bright pink, the offended girl dropped the controller and delivered a firm, stinging slap. With that he was reverted to his regular self, but with a pulsing red mark on his cheek where her attack met it's mark. "Ow ow ow… K-Kido, whoa, calm down, I didn't mean- GYAH!" Kano was cut off by another attack, a breathtaking punch to the gut. Ruthlessly, Kido glared at him, her face red with anger and embarrassment. To have transformed himself into THAT… Not at all a safe move, but it was a risk he was willing to take in order to win the match. Which he didn't for that matter.
Soon though, the commander's rage settled, having taken it out on the offender within the game world. Of course, Kano was kicked off of the couch, so he sat against it since it was technically not on the couch. They fought until the starless sky was hinted with purple, the number of matches was long forgotten and the two of them were tired beyond belief. "It's already morning… Kano, we need to sleep." Said Kido, as she leaned forward to gently sit her controller on the coffee table. It took the boy a while to respond, he simply stared out the window at the sky for a while. "Hai hai, danchou…." Came his sleepy whisper of a voice as he nestled against her leg, resting his head on her knee. "D-Don't just go off and sleep right there!" It couldn't be helped since the male looked kind of cute when he slept, like a small child with his thin stature. "Well, whatever.." Kido sighed as she leaned back, finding herself drifting off to much needed sleep.
