Prologue:

Far beyond the mortal realm exists two realms in an eternal battle of good versus evil: Otherworld and the Underworld. The Almighty Yah, the supreme god over the Kais and all deities in the universe, presides in his kingdom in the uppermost heavens of Otherworld, representing the side of good. On the side of evil is evil's most ardent admirer and the most diabolical force in existence to ever oppose good: the accursed Dark Prince. His domain is the underworld, known to mortals as Hell.

The Dark Prince was formerly the most powerful archangel in heaven and commander of Yah's angel army, until he became consumed by Wrath, Pride and Greed. The more victorious he was, the more he disdained to fight for the glory of Yah's kingdom, fighting instead for his own glory and disposing of his enemies with ruthless force. Pridefulness imbued him with the belief that being a servant of good was beneath him and that he was the more worthy being to rule Yah's kingdom. Greed led him to try and take it.

The Dark Prince rallied 1/3 of the angel army to support his cause in revolt against Yah and was soundly defeated. As punishment, he and all of his cohorts had their magnificent wings torn from their backs and, their hair, which once shined with a lustrous golden hue, was turned black. The golden aura that surrounded their bodies as evidence of their immense angelic power was extinguished, and they were struck down to the bowels of the universe. The Underworld.

Thus, the supernatural war for mortal souls began.

Ever since his fall from grace and eternal damnation, The Dark Prince has been relentless in his quest to corrupt as many souls as he can towards evil, as he steadily builds up his demon army to rise up against Yah again and conquer Otherworld. Mortals are all but oblivious to this epic struggle of good and evil and many doubt the existence of Yah, who created them. They unknowingly place their souls in great jeopardy when they acquiesce to the seduction of evil, becoming instruments of The Dark Prince or, as he is called in the mortal world: The Devil.

Over the centuries, many names have been bestowed upon him in deference to his wickedness, but before he was known to humans as The Devil, before he acquired the title of The Dark Prince, before he became a fallen angel damned to Hell forever . . .

His given name was, Bejita.

AN: A very short, but necessary, prologue for you. This is a personal writing challenge for me. I aim to write a serious story, with no injections of outright humor in it. I noticed that everything I write has that element to it and I want to challenge myself to not succumb to that urge.

I am using Bulma and Vegeta's Japanese names in this story for a specific reason, not for personal taste. That reason will be revealed at the end of the story. This story is not an AU story per say . . . you will just have to read to the end to find out what I mean by that. Enjoy.
