A/N: This is my first story ever so I hope you enjoy!

It started on a summer day in 1920. Rose and the Doctor were touring around a bit and noticed that the TARDIS had gone. They were stranded in 1920.

Rose couldn't help but freaking out, "Doctor! What are we going to do?!"

"Rose it's okay. The TARDIS is linked to me so it will eventually return. It may take a few days." The Doctor put an arm around her shoulder and they walked off.

They didn't belong here. The Doctor and Rose stuck out like a sore thumb. They went out to lunch and walked around a bit.

"Doctor, it's getting late now and we don't have a place to stay." Rose pointed out.

"That's okay, I'll find somewhere." The Doctor walked along. Finally they found a place, it was a small, sketchy hotel just a few miles from where they got stranded. The Doctor got a room for him and Rose. There was only one bed, so the Doctor decided to sleep on the couch while Rose slept on the bed.

"Doctor, you don't have to sleep on the couch. The bed is big enough for the both of us."

The Doctor sat up, "I don't need to, I'll be fine."

Rose moved over and patted the spot next to her, "Come on Doctor."

The Doctor moved on the bed and faced the opposite direction as Rose. Time Lords don't sleep, so he sat there just thinking. He thought about Rose and how bad he wanted to snuggle up next to her and hold her in his arms. In mid-though, Rose shot up from a dream she had.

"Rose are you okay?" The Doctor asked concerned.

"Yeah, just a nightmare." Rose tried to fall back asleep, but couldn't. She wanted- she needed the doctor's warmth. She wanted to fall asleep in his arms. Rose rolled over and faced the Doctor. They just stared into each other's eyes. Eventually Rose fell asleep. The Doctor put his arms around her, and she nuzzled into the crook in his neck.

The Doctor sat there, suddenly wishing the TARDIS never came back.
