Note: This is a fic set during the time when Fai is a vampire and is before he starts calling Kurogane by his many nicknames again.

knock, knock, knock...
He knocked three times, and let himself into the room when he received no answer. Fai walked up to the bed, using only the light from the opened door to guide him there. On the bed, he found, the sleeping form of certain ninja. The ninja sleept there with a easy look on his face. A look Fai deeply wished he could have in his sleep. But he wasn't going to allow himself to be happy. Ever. Not at least till he could awake his sleeping brother and give him back the name he borrowed. He wouldn't let himself out of the cage he built around himself in till he had his brother along side him and was/could be Yuui again.
"What are you doing here?"
Fai turned at the sudden sleepy voice of a very weary Kurogane. His frown quickly turned into a (fake) smile as he turned to face Kurogane.
"I just wanted to be close to you."
Kurogane's eyes squinted but he said nothing.
"...Kurogane?" Fai whispered, the ninja's name, breaking the short silence.
"Magician. What do you want? If nothing, than leave." Kurogane's voice rang through out the room.
"I want to know..."
"WHAT?"
"Kurogane, Is it your real name?"
"get out."
Fai's smile faded. "I won't"
"..."
"..."
"...come here than."
Kurogane ordered, than reached his hand out over to where his sword rested at the side of his bed and drew its blade from its sheath and cut his wrist. Fai's eyes watched all his movements closely.
"drink. vampire." Kurogane held out his bleeding wrist as he ordered Fai over to him. Fai couldn't do anything but listen.
