Witch of the Moon

Prologue

My name is Serena Serenity Tsukino, though everyone I know calls me Bunny.

I live in London with the rest of my family. My mum, Ilene, my dad, Ken, the annoying pest of my little brother, Sammy, and my pet cat, Luna.

Things people should know about myself…

Uh… well I'm quite short. Topping off at the tiny height of five feet and one inch tall. I hate being short. Hate it. Hate it. Hate it!

I have really, really long blonde hair. It goes down to my knees. How it got to be that long and not insanely thin, I have no idea. But I like my hair the way it is. It may be difficult to take care of but it's a part of who I am.

I can't imagine myself with short hair. Anyways, I usually keep it pinned up in my signature hairstyle. Two twin buns perched on the top of my head with two pigtails falling down from the buns, my bangs framing my face. It makes it quite a bit shorter, the pigtails ending at my waist. I've worn it in that buns and tails style for as long as I can remember.

Unfortunately, that hairstyle has also earned me the nick name of "Meatball Head" thanks to a certain jerk.

Enough about my hair.

I have large, light blue eyes that are way too big for my head. I've been told that I have "such, pretty big eyes" but honestly, they just look like bug eyes to me.

I have pale skin, a few freckles scattered across my nose, which I usually tried to cover up with make up.

I love chocolate.

I hate carrots.

My four best friends are Mina Anio, Amy Mitzuno, Lita Kino, and Rei Hino.

I'm a lazy person. I will not get up before noon on the weekends. You can try as much as you want. But I'm not getting out of bed.

I am a klutz. It's a miracle when I can go a day with out tripping over my own feet.

I'm not the best in school. Barely passing my classes.

Just another thing Sammy likes to tease me about.

Oh!

I'm a witch.

Yes.

A witch.

Me. Serena Serenity Tsukino. A witch.

Kinda hard to believe. I know.

But not like the green skinned, cackling, warty, flying on a broomstick kind of witch.

I'm more of a regular person who just so happens to have magical powers.

However I do know how to fly a broom. But I hate it. I hate heights.

I'm the only one in the family that's a witch or a wizard.

Quite a shock when, on my eleventh birthday, an owl swooped in through the window and dropped an acceptance letter to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry on my lap.

Thought someone was playing a joke on us or something.

But no.

We were visited by the headmaster of Hogwarts, Professor Dumbledore the next day.

Not some joke. I'm a witch.

There's a whole magical world hidden out there.

It's hard to believe. But it's true.

You'd think that a magical world would be happy and problem free.

That's what I thought.

I'd get to learn magic! Every kid's childhood dream.

Problems solved in the snap of a finger or the wave of a magic wand.

I soon learned otherwise.

I was fifteen when it started to happen, my fifth year at Hogwarts.

All hell had started to break loose.
