Epilogue
A fire consumed my body in a blaze.
"I'm sorry."
My breathing increased along with the pain.
An inferno lit inside me as if I could not be contained.
"I'm so sorry."
Agony struck though all the rain.
I continued to hear a bell like voice full of shame.
"I'm sorry."
My eyes wrenched open to see golden eyes full of strain.
I heard the regret and sorrow in each phrase, but I couldn't take in what she was saying. A scream burst through my throat as I felt untamed, but how do I remember this voice that is so inhumane, and what did she do to me for her to feel so lousy?
Finally. I think she left.
Later, I heard new voices. Quiet, but it was able to be heard as they came so close...
So close...
Too close that I could feel someones cold body radiating on mine. Though, he wasn't touching me. I bit my bottom lip trying not scream as more pain washed over me.
Why am I not dead yet? This is driving me crazy! A man spoke and his voice almost made me come back to sanity.
Almost.
"They are coming to find you when the light breaks before us, and the dawn awakens from the dead. Leering dictaters shall come before thy death because of the unknown," his voice whispered as I writhed in pain.
I screamed, but in the back of my mind, I knew they weren't going to save me. A feminine giggle floated in the air. She whispered something I could not hear to him.
I'm happy to say I am dying. I left him, and now all I have left is to die. Blood oozed out onto the forest floor while my screams broke the unpleasant darkness.
He's gone from me, and it's all my fault.
