"I wonder if his hair is as soft as it looks."

I hate it when people say comments like that. They are always the same. 'I bet his hair I silky smooth' or 'His skin is so creamy and pale like an angels'. I hate it when they say things like that. Sasuke isn't some angel that just came down to earth to be gawked at by a bunch of mindless idiots. He isn't some display or piece of meat that is for the taking. He is a human being. He is an Uchiha. And most of all, he is a man.

I despise those girls who want to run their hands through his "silk spun hair". He is a boy! Boys don't have soft hair. His hair is coarse, but not rough. Running your hands through it feels like running your hands through very soft wool. It's coarse but soft. I remember the first time he let me touch his hair. It was right after he returned from his first mission as a reinstated Kohona-Nin. It wasn't a romantic moment at all. He was all bloody and sweaty from his mission. He had nearly passed out on the street I saw when I was walking by. I helped him to his house. He ordered me to leave him on the porch but I was stubborn. I washed him without blushing and I changed his clothes without staring. It was when I put him to bed that I began to feel feelings. He looked peaceful. Not like an angel with the moon shining on him. I always find that statement funny, because Sasuke always keeps his curtains drawn. But he looked at ease. His face wasn't pinched or drawn and his breathing was steady. He looked up at me, and it wasn't a glare. It was a simple look, but it was one that I would never guess would end up on his face. But it was there. Without thinking, I leaned over and ran my hand through his hair and let it rest at the base of his neck. I kissed his forehead and then left.

The next day he saw me and didn't say anything about the night before. Which was fine. I don't expect him to come bearing declarations of love or friendship like the others do. He nodded at me. I nodded back.

So here I am, at the ramen stand with the entire Rookie 9. Sasuke is two stools away from me. It is weird that the ones who talk about him don't even care that he is usually within hearing distance, and even if he isn't, I'm sure word reaches him one way or another.

I hear another comment about his onyx eyes and how they glitter with the burden of his dark past. I think they glitter with annoyance. Sasuke is a boy. He does not constantly brood over his past. Granted he used to by he has moved on. He isn't the super-angst ridden teenager you used to fawn over! Now he is just a teenager who wants his peace and space. He's a boy! Stop talking about his girlish looks! He clearly is a male. Stop talking about his rose petal lips! They are chapped! Stop talking about his smooth skin! There is a pimple on his left temple! Not that anyone can see it because his hair covers it. Stop putting Sasuke on a pedestal. He is a teenage boy! Not a god, or an angel or an Adonis. He is a 17 year old, teenage boy with chapped lips and a pimple! Yes he is extremely attractive, but that doesn't change that he is a boy!

"Have you forgotten?" I ask. Everyone turns to me.

"Sasuke's a boy."

They look at each other and then Sasuke in confusion. He just smirks.

A/N: This is just something I came up with. It's dedicated to Dana. It actually is a SasuIno fic, but you can interpret it into something else since there is no indication of who the narrator is. Just as long as you know it's Ino talking.
