A/N: So, third drabble I'm posting. I'm final off my lazy butt and have another drabble to post as well!

No one needs to know(but he does anyway)

Your name is Sam Winchester and this is your life. Mid twenties, hopeless dreams, and desperation. You get by with spit, grit, and desperation(and no one has to know how scared you really are, or how much you rely on luck and coincidence).

You simultaneously admire your brother's black and white view of the world and wish he could see all the shades of gray you live in. You look up to him just a bit more than most younger brothers, rely on him to fix your problems, or remain just that much more codependent than most siblings are- well, it's not like either of you are in the same place long enough for anyone to realize(and no one has to know how close you two grew up, or why).

You are thrilled with your life- you fight monsters and save people and struggle to make a difference, which is much more than you ever did at Stanford(and no one has to realize that sometimes you ache for normal, that you aren't one hundred percent comfortable with all that you do).

You tease your brother, argue, disagree with him- but deep down you respect him(and no one needs to know how much you'd be willing to sacrifice if he'd just give in and ask for help).

So here you are, Sam Winchester, almost an orphan, on a never-ending road trip with your older brother, hunting things most people wouldn't even dare to dream about(but if they give you nightmares, well no one knows enough to be concerned).

All of that is okay, though, because your older brother is Dean Winchester and he is just as scared and lucky, just as close to you as you are to him, struggles with a hunter's lifestyle like you do, even if it is in different ways, is just as willing to sacrifice things for you, and is by your side for every nightmare- experiencing most of them for himself, as well. So buck up, Sam Winchester, tighten that grip on your guns and your sanity, smile a little wider, and carry on, because your brother's got your back.
