Disclaimer: I own nothing!

Tony Stark, wealthy idiot without a care in the world. The world knows you so well, don't they? Their little boxes they've filled you up in and lines that you can't ever cross, all painting the image everyone expects to see. But here you are, Iron Man, a perfect example of the lesson you've been trying to teach: you are more than the sum of your mistakes and your father's legacy.

Of course, the self sustaining arc reactor and the countless inventions are ignored, one-time flukes or something you paid someone else to make. So what is Iron Man going to do where a beyond-its-years AI couldn't, even if it is more flashy and publicized?

After all, Iron Man is your alter ego. They do not see his(your) responsibility and respectability in your own personality, and fail to relate the trademarked and famous red-and-gold paint job to your own need to outshine every other person in your vicinity. Why then, should they see a single fault in Iron Man(but you see many glaring ones- a new repulsor here, extra speed there, and wouldn't some more durability be nice?) or a single saving grace in you?

After all, don't they know you oh so well(take away the suit and what are you? Well, maybe if you'd take the time to stick around for more than a minute without making stupid assumptions, you'll find out)? And maybe, you concede, you aren't the nicest of people- but that doesn't exactly count for much, does it(I know men who have none of that worth ten of you. Well good for you, but as long as I'm making an effort, I'll stick with myself, thank you very much you judgmental bastard), in every time and place ever. So even there is some perfect human being out there(nobody's perfect. Well then why do you bother trying to fake it?), with a little digging and a lot of judgement, someone put there will find a crack in that facade. You just put your flaws out there so no one will bother to dig any further for the mistakes that really matter, making your weaknesses a type of shield against the world(playboy genius billionaire philanthropist, huh? Well that makes me pretty untouchable). Without dealing with feelings or people or the shattering realization that yes, everyone has a heart, you are safe and sound up in Stark Towers(that ugly eyesore? Well yes, that's my self-sustaining energy efficient baby, and what's it to you?).

So let the world watch and wait for you to stumble and and judge you, you're safe in the knowledge that despite the flaws everyone around you sees, you are more than what they think- you have a life and a personality and good traits of your own, you don't need perfection(everything special about you comes out of a bottle, and I synthesize my own superpowers, thank you very much. The suit and I are one, after all), and no one will ever convince you otherwise.

So, review, I guess? I dunno, should I take it down?
