A Childish Alchemist
Roy Mustang stormed through the hospital like a man possessed, He had finally done it. Fullmetal had gone to far and as usual Roy was left to pick up the pieces. Roy knew from the start that the Elrics were going to be a handful, even more when Roy started dating the youngest of the two. Much to Ed's displeasure, Roy always did like rilling him up.
It was when he reached the twelfth floor that Roy had finished his list of ways to torture Ed and a squeaky voice caught his attention. There weren't suppose to be children on this floor, it was specifically designated for military personal. Roy knew he'd have to fix this later but for now Fullmetal was his concern but as he grew closer, something struck his attention.
The child's voice sounded familiar, right down to the swears it carries. Roy was no prepared for what he saw when he entered the room. What he saw still makes him nearly piss himself with laughter
He saw a five year old Fullmetal laying in a hospital gown that was ten sizes too big
Roy knew he couldn't lough out loud, but the sight was to hilarious to deny himself some internal laughter. A glare from Alphonse quickly quelled that notion
"What the fuck are you looking at Mustang" Ed grumpily snapped
"I don't know Fullmetal, How about you grow a few more inches and the I'll get back to you" Roy quipped back masterfully
"WHO YOU CALLING SO SMALL THAT HE NEEDS A FUCKING BIB AND HIGH CHAIR TO EAT!"
"Please calm down brother, the doctor told you to rest" Al stepped in, attempting to placate his brother
"What does that fucking idiot know, I'm fine" Ed replied, a pout forming on his face
This was priceless to Roy, something to savour while he can because knowing Ed. He'd find away to fix this
"Colonel, may I talk to you outside" Al asked, pulling Roy from his musings
"Sure thing Al" Roy says with a smile
They stepped outside of the hospital room, bypassing a frightened nurse
"Poor Ed" Al muttered sadly
"Poor nurse, they have to deal with Fullmetal" Roy stated back
Al turned to Roy with a perturbed look which quickly broke into a smile. Al leaned up, giving Roy a chaste kiss
"Hi" was all Roy could say, a goofy smile on his face
It wasn't until an object hit the side of his head, that Roy realized that the door was still open. He looked in to see Ed brandishing a book with the intent to throw
"Be nice you two" Al said, closing the door
"Sorry about that Roy, Brother is still adjusting to our relationship"
"It's ok Al but what happened" Roy asked
"Well off the record, Brother pissed off this 'witch doctor" who was using a blend of Alchemy and Alkahestry to heal ailments for a price"
"Let me guess, Fullmetal tried to expose the guy" Roy stated with a roll of his eyes
"Yeah. We caught him but not before..." Al began, sheepishly
"Say no more. I understand Al"
There was a moment of silence before Roy asked
"Is there any way to fix this?"
"We don't know yet but for now we need to take care of Ed"
"Agreed"
The pair entered the room in time to see Ed harassing a nurse, the poor woman was seconds from a breakdown
"Be careful Fullmetal, you don't some body switching your medication or smothering you in your sleep" Roy said in a mock serious tone
Ed glared back at his superior, sticking up his middle finger at the older male. A stifled laugh came from both the nurse and Alphonse
"You two never give up, do you?" Al said with an amused sigh
"Sit on it and rotate" Ed quipped back
An hour passed and Ed was sound asleep, apparently harassing people takes it out of him. Roy and Al slipped out of the room, leaving the child alchemist to sleep.
