A/N: Here is the first chapter of WingClan II: HawkClan-The Believer.
Summary: Doublewing is stuck in StarClan until someone in HawkClan can believe in him again. But everyone has put their trust in Starhawk, Doublewing's killer, instead. But four kits have been borne to Icestorm, Doublewing's littermate. Now, Doublewing must try and get them to trust in him rather than Starhawk, or Doublewing will never come back, and Starhawk will leave a trail of blood in the forest in his frightening reign.
Point-of-views will change from two characters every chapter.
LIGHTNINGKIT
"Ravenkit, Lightningkit, and Bluekit!" Icestorm yelled from her nest in the nursery. "Where are you!"
But there we were, behind the bracken wall, keeping our laughs at bay.
Icestorm sighed loudly. "Why can't you be like Aurorakit, never making trouble?"
Bluekit jumped up and said, "Because we're the interesting ones!"
Icestorm whipped around and picked Bluekit up, putting her in the nest. Then she grabbed Ravenkit and I, dropping us in the nest too.
"You kits are only a few hours away from your apprentice ceremony!" she fumed. "You should behave better than this!"
Bluekit looked a little regretful, but Ravenkit and I kept strong.
"Exactly," Ravenkit retorted. "We only have a little time to still be kits, so we're using our childhood as we can."
Icestorm groaned. "You know what, I'm going out for a while. Take care of Sneezekit and Mousekit while Sandfire and Rednose are asleep." Icestorm walked out of the nursery.
Sneezekit and Mousekit had just been born to Rednose a few days ago. Sandfire's kits, Brockkit and Hollykit, however, were born only a few days before us. They were the children of Starhawk, and always recieved special treatment, something Aurorakit always whined about. Brockkit and Hollykit were still our best friends. Well, not Aurorakit so much.
We were all under the Branch for a clan meeting after Icestorm was done cleaning us like we were lounging around in an ocean of mud.
"Today," Starhawk said in his commanding voice. "We have some kits to make apprentices. We'll start with Aurorakit. Jump up here."
Aurorakit did what she was asked, her eyes gleaming with anticipation.
"Until you get your warrior name, your name will be Aurorapaw. Your mentor shall be Darkpelt."
"Next will be Bluekit. From this moment on, you will be known as Bluepaw until you get your warrior name. Your mentor shall be Mossface." The jagged-furred warrior stepped up and touched her new apprentice's forehead.
"Ravenkit, until you get your warrior name, you shall be Ravenpaw. Your mentor shall be Froststorm."
"And finally, Lightningkit." Anxiety rumbled in my stomach. "Until you get your warrior name, you are now Lightningpaw. Your mentor shall be Nightwalker."
Nightwalker? No way! My mentor was the clan deputy? I thought deputies rarely got apprentices? This is impossible!
