"Oh no, you are not playing Yentl the lesbian match maker" Santana said following Rachel as she grabbed her coat whilst fanning herself with a magazine,
"But I'm so tired" Rachel continued to smirk at Santana, who stood by the counter of the diner
"No you're not" she replied banging the counter, Rachel smirked and nodded towards Dani, indicating to Santana that she was watching them,
"Bye Rachel see you tomorrow" Dani said biting her lip after saying it, Santana heart skipped a beat seeing her do this,
"Bye Dani" Rachel said in her obvious up-to-something voice as she walked out the door into the hustle and bustle on New York city, Santana turned ; before watching Rachel disappear, She watched as Dani sat on the stage fiddling with her guitar,
"Aren't you heading out yet" Santana asked watching Dani, She looked up
"No, not yet I like to watch the sun rise over those building over there, I like how the café goes from busy to just quite" she pointed toward she horizon where the sky was turning pink
"I've never seen it" Santana replied watching Dani taking in every little detail about her; the way her smile when up to her eyes, her bum chin, the tattoos on both wrists and the birds trialling up her left arm to her elbow, He thoughts were disrupted by Dani's voice
"Stick around we'll watch it together" she winked at her only making Santana's stomach flutter
Santana slowly walked over to her and sat beside her ; her heart beating against her rib cage as she saw Dani's' chocolaty brown eyes gaze into her own.
"So" Dani said looking up at Santana
"So" Santana replied feeling nervous in the awkward situation
"How long you been in New York ?" Dani asked Santana putting her guitar to the side
"Almost a year, What about you?" Santana asked looking at her longingly
"Why are you looking at me like that?" Dani asked her cheeks turning pink and starting to burn
"I don't know" Santana said her cheeks burning "Sorry"
"Don't apologize" Dani said looking into Santana's eyes,
"I really must be going it's getting late and I'm seriously tired" Santana said getting up grabbing her coat and walking towards the door, she turned towards Dani who was still sitting on the stage,
"You coming" Santana said looking back at Dani
"No my friend, James will be here to pick me up in like 20 minutes" She replied with a half-smile
"Oh all right" Santana replied half-heartedly 'great she's straight, I finally meet a girl who's hot and seems to be perfect and she's straight' Santana thought to herself as she walked down the street to her apartment.
Dani watched as Santana walk down the street and out of sight before grabbing her guitar, locking up the café, walking a short distance down the street and into the back-seat of her car, she lay wondering if it would get any better than this, after taking off of her uniform and placing it neatly on the front seat, she crawled her way to back seats grabbing a blanket and drifting off the sleep.
