Title: Legends, Myths, and Scary Things
Characters: America, Mexico
Challenge: 13: Spook

Bonus Words: pumpkin, terror, bones
Rating: K+
Summary: Mexico is scared of her legends and America gets dragged into it all.
A/N: Trust me, you'd be scared too, if you were Mexican. XD Also, I think legends vary within my culture, so there might be differences in the story content concerning the legend. This is how I've heard it and how my family's told me. And it tends to happen that Mexicans have like 50 versions of the same story. So if you're Mexican and read this and want to tell me your version, go head. :D

Mexico walked around the streets for Halloween treats with her plastic pumpkin.

"Hey, Mexico, got any candy yet?" America asked as he saw her pass by.

"I'm more preoccupied about other things," she said.

"Like what?"

"Like 'El Cucuy' and 'La Llorona' appearing tonight," she began. "They are legends from my country and they are very creepy. They terrorize my people by the mere thought of them, so it's not very pleasant to suddenly see them. And tonight, they could really come out!"

"Really? Are they like ghosts or something?" America asked as he held his pumpkin closer to him.

"Yes!"

"Ah! No, ghosts are scary! Get them away from me!" America began.

"Shut up, idiota! They might hear you!" But when she turned to check her surroundings, she suddenly heard sobs from afar.

"Ahi, Dios mio!" she exclaimed. "She's here!"

"Who is?" America questioned as he creeped closer to her.

"La Llorona. She's crying because she lost her child and is searching for him, but he's actually dead, and she died crying and searching," Mexico explained. "I get scared just by telling you!"

"Then, let's get away from here!" America said as he pulled on her arm.

Mexico saw a girl with bone white skin behind America. And she yelled so loud, not even America's usual voice could compare. The began to scramble around until America was able to pull on her again and began to run away from the ghost.

"Hey, why are you two running away?"

"Get away from us, ghost!" America yelled.

"Ghost? There is no ghost 'ere."

"Hey, France, are you sure you want to keep wearing that thing? You're scaring the hell out of me," Britain said as he met up with him.

"Oui, mon ami. I think I scared poor America and Mexico silly. Too bad. I wanted to actually treat them."
