A/N: so (does anyone else realize how often i begin my authors notes with 'so'?) whenever i tell myself I'm going to write a drabble, i end up with over 2,000 words. So i'm trying to practice, because i really love drabbles. tell me what you think and maybe I'll try some more.

Hope you enjoy

Betrayal

Her face woke him up every morning. The first thing he saw behind his cloed eyelids every single morning. Sparkling blue eyes, long blonde hair. Sometimes it was so real that he was sure if he held out his hand, he would feel her.

He never did, but that didn't stop him from trying.

On the one hundred eighth day, his first thought was of the job interview he had coming up. It wasn't until a minute or two later that he realized.

He knew it was only natural to move on. Normal. Healthy. But he felt as if he had betrayed her.

He forced himself back to sleep, hoping he would do it right the next time.
