19 th October. It was a day Souichi could never forget for two reasons. First,It was the day he first met his kouhai. Morinaga tetsuhiro,an alpha,was introduced to Souichi by his professor as an assistant in the lab;to lend him a hand. Though clingy,the kid was very helpful and was not bothered by the fact that his Senpai was an Omega. He seemed to respect him for his hard work unlike the other Alphas that always accused him of 'sleeping around' for grades even though Souichi was still a virgin,a secret known only to him...until the Drug came into his hands,which he'd found at the back of his kouhai's cupboard who had recently confessed his feelings to him. The drug released his heat and one thing led to another in Morinaga's apartment. Though they had sex that day,Morinaga had restrained himself from bonding with Souichi no matter how much he desired the Omega. And their journey as "Fuck Buddies" began. Morinaga tried relentlessly to get his Senpai to fall for him but he just wasnt. Atleast that's what he thought. It had been a while year since that night and unknown to him his Senpai was already feeling something in his heart. This desire was what scared him the most. A kind and generous Alpha like him to be bonded to a short-tempered and staright forward-err- rude Omega like him was something Souichi couldn't accept. He wasn't ready to let his Kouhai commit a mistake like this. A mistake of bonding with an Omega who is infertile,who cannot give birth to their child. An Omega he can't have a family or a future with. He had to tell him,distance himself away from his Kouhai no matter what. He had to do it and thus came 19th October yet again. The second reason for this day to be imprinted in his mind was because this was the day something he could never imagine happened. The day he lost what was most precious to him. It should've been Souichi in Morinaga's place. It should've been him who...who lay there covered in bruises and blood,not him.

"What do you mean we should end this..Senpai?" Morinaga asked as Souichi looked away

"I mean to say that we should go back to being Senpai and Kouhai. To quit sleeping together because if we get serious-"

" IF? 'If' we get serious Senpai? Do you have any idea,of how long I've been serious about us. It's you who is running away like a coward. I want to be with you and have a family with you and-"

"I CANNOT HAVE A FAMILY WITH YOU!" Souichi clenched his fists and cried out,leaving Morinaga shocked.

"W-What?" He asked as he slowly started getting at what he was saying. Souichi was already at the door,unable to face his Kouhai,running out.

"You know what I mean Morinaga. So please just leave me alone...I'm ending this with you right now,I'll move out tomorrow. Don't come looking for me" He said as he dashed out the door.

"Senpai wait!" Morinaga ran behind him.

They were already at the stairs when Morinaga caught hold of Souichi and yanked him towards himself.

"Let me go!" He struggled as the Alpha's strength overcame his.

"Senpai listen to me please,W-We can still try. It's you who I want and-" Morinaga mustered all his strength to hold him still but he broke free.

"DONT EVER SHOW ME YOUR FACE AGAIN" He screamed as his legs lost balance and he felt himself falling backward. It was all so fast yet so slow. He didn't realise when his Kouhai had yanked him,losing his own balance. He couldn't forget how slowly he'd fallen down the stairs. How his arms reached out to his Senpai's and how they missed by an inch. And then suddenly ,everything went chaotic. He rolled down the concrete stairs,the edges and the rough and hard floor hit his body. How he heard him groan loudly as his legs went numb and he Souichi dropped to the ground in shock. His Kouhai's limp body now just lay there,amidst his own boood as Souichi ran to the man who was on the verge of death.

He heard a terrible scream in his ears. Not from the injured man or from the neighbors who'd just witnessed the accident,but from himself who was crying out his name in agony.

He couldn't hear the Ambulance arriving or see the Doctor's rushing him to the operation theatre. All he could see was Morinaga's face covered in blood oozing out from the deep wound on his head. How long had it been since he went into surgery , how long since his brother had arrived and demanded answers from Souichi. It was all a daze to Souichi. He was in a complete and utter shock. He remembered what the last thing he said to him was and how he regretted it all. Maybe..Maybe he should've just listened to his Senpai,maybe he should have taken time and sat down with him and talked to him properly instead of dashing for the door. Maybe then he'd...He'd be here.

And as Souichi continued to fret,hours passed by terribly slowly and when the Doctor finally came out,Souichi couldn't be more relieved.

"Who is the family?" The Doctor asked as Souichi almost got up when Kunihiro shoved him aside and walked to the doctor.

Oh right. Souichi wasn't family,not was he even his Lover.

"How is he doctor?" Kunihiro asked, concerned

"He is fine,his condition will stabilize by tonight."

"Ah um When will he be discharged?" Souichi sopke for the first time in hours. Kunihiro glared at him.

"He might have to stay here for a few days,maybe a week. You guys can meet him when he regains his consciousness afterward."He said

"T-Thank you so much Doctor" Kunihiro bowed and Souichi did too and the Doctor left.

Souichi stood up and was immediately pushed to the wall by Kunihiro

"It was you that caused this didn't you?!" He said as Souichi averted his eyes.

"I-Im sorry-"

"Sorry isn't going to fix anything...You know that" He tightened his grip on his collar.

"I-I-"

"Kunihiro! Let him go!" A voice called and Masaki appeared from the entrance. And he immediately let go.

"Tatsumi San...I would appreciate if you leave now." Kunihiro said

"B-But Morinaga-"

"I said.. LEAVE" He brimmed with anger as Souichi flinched. He bowed

"Please take care of him" He said and rushed out.

But little did he know that his world was going to be turned upside down.

The next day when he finally brought you the courage to go and visit his Kouhai,he reached the hospital only to find out that he..was gone. He had been moved...to another hospital. And it was not in Nagoya. He'd run around almost every hospital in Nagoya looking for him but his efforts were in vain. Morinaga was gone and nobody knows where.

Souichi was left all alone..

"So Tatsumi San...Is this your first time coming to Kyushu?" Tadokoro asked. Tadokoro was his new assistant along with Miharu who were currently helping him with his work. They were currently on their way to S-Pharmaceuticals to meet up for the internship.

"No...It's not my first time" Souichi spoke as he the memory of their onsen trip hit him.

"Oh so you've been here before. Alone?" He asked.

"Y-Yeah I was alone-" He paused.

In this crowd of thousands of people that surrounded him,his eyes fell onto the tall brunnete he'd last seen 2 years ago.

His feet moved on their own as he ran towards the man,colliding with plenty of people. He could hear Tadokoro yelling his name out as the sound faded into the background. He realised he dropped his suitcase and his coat but he ran ahead and when he finally reached the tall figure he pulled his sleeve.

"Morina-" The man..who wasn't Morinaga turned to him.

"Yes?" The man asked as Souichi pulled away

"Ah I'm sorry. I mistook you for someone else" He said as the man accepted his apology and went his way.

Souichi sighed. What was he thinking,finding him in Kyushu..

"Um excuse me? You dropped your stuff" A voice spoke from behind and Recognizing the voice Souichi turned around immediately.

And there stood his Kohai..Handing him his suitcase and coat which Souichi took from his hands as he stared at him in shock.

"Morinaga?" He mumbled as His Kohai smiled.

"Yes?"

"MORINAGA! You were here all this time?! Do you how long it has been? Why didn't you contact me?!-"

"I'm sorry but...Who are you?" He asked.

And that moment,Souichi's world crumbled to dust.
