Title: The End of the World
Characters: Mexico, other countries
Challenge: 13: Spook

Bonus Words: pumpkin, terror, bones
Rating: K+
Summary: It scared Europe before 1000 AD, and America in Y2K, but Mexico scared the hell out of the whole world with her Mayan calendar.
A/N: I thought of this because of the fact that my generation lives on YOLO, enjoying life before 12/21/2012, and basically doing stupid stuff that ticks me off. Also, Happy Halloween, everyone!

Not even America's films of terror could compare to the challenge Mexico had set up, and his pumpkin and apple pies were not enough to calm the world. It was so scary, the entire world was trembling and the countries' bones were rattling and making such disturbing noises with each movement. They were all desperate and anxious, facing another warning that the world was going to end. Again.

Britain and France were probably the only ones not worried about it all because they had gone through 2 'End-of-the-World' events and survived both of them, or rather, witnessed their absences. They were telling everyone that they shouldn't worry about any of that stuff because it was just a silly rumor that could not be fully proven. But Spain was not so confident in their talk and believed his sister, who actually had some proof, which scared the hell out of everyone. America's take on the end of the world was really no comparison to what people had in mind, but Mexico felt it would occur in a similar fashion.

However, Mexico felt like everyone was blaming the end of the world on her, for some reason. Just because the Mayan calendar said so. She didn't want to scare anyone, and wasn't really aware of the magnitude of that, so she set out to clarify the meaning of the end of the Mayan calendar. With that she set some countries at ease, starting with herself because it would not be the end of the world. It would just be the end of an era, and a new one would follow, signaling a new beginning, not a final end.
