This is my first fanfiction, I have not much time so expect a short first chapter.

Maybe I should come across as funny on my first comment, no no then they wouldn't take me serious…

But then they will enjoy my perky somewhat retarded comments and remarks on my reviews and such… or I could just say READ NOW ENJOY LATER… but then I would just seem mean… what to do what to do…

Uhhm uh ON WITH MAI FERST STORIEE!!111

As always the night was cold, mysterious, and most of all ominous. An elf made his way down the well traveled pathway he had known all his life, taking one message from one village to the next earning a meager amount of money.

He thought to himself as he did every night when he walked down the path.

What should I do tomorrow I seem to have no plans or such… hmmm, I have not visited any of my dearest friends in the longest of times, I wonder what they have been up to all these months of my absence… they are still probably celebrating Galbatorix' fall.

His thoughts trailed to Eragon, the mysterious rider who had defeated the evil of Galbatorix, he wondered if the rumors of him being a simple farmboy were true.

What of his brother, I heard from a Varden messenger he was a mighty warrior. I wonder if I'll ever meet either of them…

His thoughts stopped as abruptly as they had always began, he looked ahead. His keen vision allowed him to define flames licking at the buildings that had once stood tall and proud, Oh no its kaerveiile. The village had been raided, it was a terrible sight to behold The elf immediately began running towards the ruins of the village, he saw wounded and dead all over.

Who could have done this, I thought Galbatorix had fallen, this must not be his doing.

"Entwaer, over here, help!"

"What is it friend, are you injured?"

"I think I broke my leg." Replied the man who had earlier been screaming for help, Entwaer quickly healed his fractured bone moving quickly to the more severely wounded of the villagers.

As he worked he asked questions "What happened here?" he asked one women who was carrying a small child in her arms.

"It was a shade, good elf… it was a shade." Entwaer looked at her questioningly, a shade did all of this!

"Yes a shade… a shade… a shade… a shade" The women seemed tramatized by her sudden encounter with a shade, Entwaer felt sad for her, she would never be the same again...

Sorry for the shortness…
