Chapter 1: Emergence
Percious shook as he emerged from Vault 111, after getting a tip in Goodneighbor
about a vault no-one could figure out how to open, it turns out the answer, as
Percious found, was a red button located in a small cabin near the vault entrance.
Percious never thought of himself as an intelligent bloke, he had flunked out of Diamond City School at a young age. Tired with boring teacher Mr Zwicky and Miss Edna, the robot assistant, who of course, everyone knew was madly in love with the ageing teacher.
" What's the point of writing about history?" Percious exclaimed one day in class as Miss Edna was giving the results of another history pop quiz.
"History, Mr Winchester is the reason you are sitting here today, it is important that we learn from the mistakes of the past, so they are not repeated in the future" exclaimed Zwicky.
Percious could tell Zwicky despised him, however it was not Percious' fault that he was born into the upper stands of Diamond City and not down below where the hard-working residents of Diamond City worked their fingers to the bone for caps.
Percious' parents Dawn and Fergus were two of the most notably rich citizens of Diamond City, second only to the Codman family. Five years ago when Percious was fifteen he had returned home from his cleaning shift at The Dugout Inn to find both his parents had gone.
Percious of course raised the subject of his parent's odd disappearance to Diamond City Security, however Officer Sullivan was under orders not to pursue missing person cases by Diamond City Mayor McDonough. For the next five years Percious travelled throughout The Commonwealth, ending up in Goodneighbor yesterday morning, drowning his sorrows in The Third Rail he heard two men discussing an impenetrable vault that they had found.
