Dedicated to Savannah and an anonymous friend, who helped me through my panic attack tonight.

She couldn't recall why she was crying.

It just happened.

She stared at the wall. She could see the tear stains on her glasses, but more just kept following, so there was no real point in cleaning them. She roughly wiped her nose with her sleeve, feeling a bit of anger and disgust when her running nose met her bare arm. Right. Rolled up flannel. It didn't stop her, but she didn't hide her disgust.

It'd been a long time since she'd cried for no reason. Or, at least, for a reason she couldn't remember. And for some reason, so couldn't stop. It wasn't like she was sobbing or anything, she was just… crying.

They stayed silent as she cried. It's not like they noticed. She was silently crying, no one notices that. They were focused on the T.V., like anyone else would be. They didn't notice her slowly unraveling between them. How could they? It was Tony and Logan. They were her best friends, but they were also boys. They weren't Natasha or Pepper or Storm or Maria.

It's just the natural way of things.

Boys just don't notice.

She was fine with this. She didn't need people pitying her or anything like that. No, then she'd get pissed. Pissed Romanians are not good.

So she kept crying, letting the tears silently flow down her face. She wanted to bury her face in her knees, but the fact that she'd even tucked them into her chest mad both of them flinch, so she didn't. Instead, she stared numbly at the wall and silently cried, letting herself get engulfed in unknown misery.

Logan suddenly stretched his arms up, yawning widely. When he brought them back down, the one closest to her wrapped around her shoulders and pulled her closer to him. Her brown eyes went wide, but she didn't look away from her spot. She felt something grab her arm. Tony laced his fingers with hers and rested his head on her shoulder. She swallowed, her body shuddering with a sudden wave of suppressed sobs. The grips got tighter momentarily, at least, until they went away. Then they relaxed back to casual.

No words were said.

Then she realized.

They understood.

They knew she'd been crying.

And this was their way of dealing with it.

Quietly.

She suddenly began to feel better.

She began to relax, sniffling only a little.

Beside her, she caught little glimpses of small, relieved smiles.

She smiled and settled in.

Sometimes, all you need is silence.

Silence, and knowing that you're not alone.

K. That is all.

R&R if you want to!
