There are two things Claire prays for everyday; to see her Dad again
and for her power to be non-existent.
It's so hard to wake up
every morning, to see her Mom struggle to be strong for her and Lyle;
and know it's all her fault.
When she starts to feel someone watching her, she lets herself believe it's her Dad, since he said, "I'll take care of you" and she's still holding him to that.
As the weeks pass, their family stays in California. Claire hasn't been approached by anyone from the Company, but she still feels watched.She's let go of the foolish idea of it being her dad; he's dead and nothing is going to change that. It could be West but he disappeared months ago. She doesn't care. She would gladly have the Company take her, test on her. At least then she would feel something.
So when Sylar appears flying at her just like West did, she doesn't scream or run. She just waits. And as starts talking about her wonderful, delicious power and how she will save him, she starts to smile.
She starts to smile because her second prayer is being answered.
And maybe her first prayer will be answered too.
