Island Queen
This island, it is changed so much,
More constructs of wood and stone.
More signs of habitation,
More signs I'm not alone.
…
Over thirteen years I've been here,
Queen of all the land.
Then one day I was contained,
For small creatures to stand.
…
But now at last I'm free once more,
The usurper, overthrown.
I've let that raptor run away,
I hunt better alone.
…
So now I see a rising sun,
A ball of ancient fire.
More ancient than my lineage,
I stand still without ire.
…
Perhaps, again, I'll lose my crown,
Perhaps, one day I'll fall.
But for now this is my realm,
And I let out a mighty roar.
