She's jogging, listening to a...small, rectangular box- weird these people outside of the forest. She comes to a fork in the dirt road. She taps the little box of hers as I move in on her, get closer...closer...SNAP!
Her head jerks up to where I'm hidden in the trees. I accidentaly stepped on a stick, and it snapped. She steps toward the over-grown forest. The sun eases a little to the right; so that it's light was hitting part of my arm.
Oh, great! I thought If I get caught, Wisdom's going to kill me!
She squints into the darkness, and I ever-so-slightlymove my arm away from the light.
Go the other way...please go to the right! I was willing her to not go the way to the village with my mind.
She stares just a little longer and then takes a right in the fork. I hold my breath until she's far away enough so that I can step out of the trees. I notice something long and stripped on the ground. I picked it up and smilled. She must've dropped it when she was running away.
"Wonder!" I jumped at the sound of a voice.
