"How was your walk in the 34th century? Got attacked by any aliens?"

"Yes," the Doctor grumbled. "He was trying to sell me rigadalthean baby toys. Very annoying." Rose laughed and got down a mug to make him a cup.

"And where is the stroller? You didn't toss it off a cliff, did'ya?" The Doctor grumbled again and the sleeping lump moved. Carefully, he transferred the baby to cradle on the inside of his right arm and accepted the cup of tea from Rose.

"No, I di'nt. It's in the consul room. Don't know why we bought that blasted thing in the first place. It's completely useless."

"Oh?" Rose sat across from him and sipped at her tea.

"The minute she gets put in it, she starts wailing her head off. She only shuts up when I pick her up. So, I put her on my shoulder and she's out like a light."

"Where you explaining trans-dimensional space jumps? Or how worm holes work?" Rose asked, smirking.

"No," he replied indignantly. He paused and shifted slightly. "I was telling her about how pocket universes work actually," he conceded gruffly and she laughed.

"You daft alien man. She's not gonna understand any of that."

"'Course she won't. She's got your brains." he snarked and Rose bristled.

"Oi, my brain has gotten you out of loads of trouble. You'd be dead if it wasn't for me"

"I know, I know, you're right" he gave her a half smile apologetically. Rose just grinned with her tongue in between her teeth. "Hey Rose, we'll be going into the time vortex soon. Do you think-?"

"-no, Doctor, you cannot chuck the stroller into the time vortex." Rose interrupted knowingly and the Doctor pouted.

"It's not doing us any good."

"Dunno 'bout that. It's doing me a bit of good." Rose shrugged.

"How's that then?" Rose stood up to wash out her now empty mug and flashed a grin back at him.

"Dunno. Think you look a bit sexy pushin' a baby stroller, though," she laughed at his slightly open mouth.

"Oh," he didn't really know what to say to that. He looked at her still laughing at him and grinned. "Fantastic." Rose came and sat next to him to look at her sleeping daughter's face.

"We goin' to my mum's next, yeah?"

"What?!" the Doctor stared at her wide eyed in horror. But then he realized her eyes were twinkling and grumbled. "Pull the other one, why don't'cha."

"Relax. We went there last week."

"Don't remind me. I told you not to make this place domestic," he mock glared at her and she flashed her tongue-in-the-teeth grin.

"It's a good thing I don't listen to you, innit?" She replied cheekily. The Doctor looked down at his sleeping child and tucked her soft curly hair behind her ear with a thin gold band glinting on his left hand.

"Thank heavens for that."
