Leo sees a wildfire

/Leo's POV/

This has been the weirdest day of me being a half-blood, and that is really saying something.

I mean I have even fought an evil ice princess for Pete's sake! I also built the Argo II and fixed a big bronze dragon that was terrorizing the camp's forests.

Well anyway, one day I was minding my own business when I just saw this flame come up from the woods right next to camp. I wondered what was going on. Of course being the ADHD demigod I am I had to check it out. What I saw when I got there I was not expecting. There right in front of me stood a girl (a really cute one I might add) fighting the Chimera. I mean I know I fall for girls easily, but what got me liking her is that she was summoning fire! I thought that I was the only one that could summon fire, I was happy but I also hated that she was most likely my sister. That means 2 things. 1. Someone is finally like me! 2. That means I can't date her. It's a win-lose situation for yours truly.

She had a 4 inch cut down her calf, and was not doing too well with fighting the Chimera. The snake tail was snapping at her wounded leg, the lion's paws were tearing gashes into her arms, and finally and goat head was biting her with all their might. The only thing that didn't help that situation was that each head was breathing white hot fire at her. I know it must not have been hurting her, but still I could never do that when I was just figuring out I was a demigod or demigoddess in her case. I decided to help out, I grabbed a big iron hammer out of my tool belt, and swung it at the monster's heads. The monster disintegrated instantly into gold dust. Once the girl looked at me I figured she would be looking at me with gratitude. Right? Wrong. She was glaring at me with those brown eyes. She looked at me as if I was the most annoying thing to ever cross her path. And I am really annoying, but this was a new one for me. She looked at me and her eyes turned sea green for a split second before her eyes turned a deep shade of red and she started to glow with a red aura around her. Just when I thought she wasn't going to say anything she growled at me and yelled at me "Why did you do that!? I had it all under control!" Just right then as I was about to snap at her she blacked out.

Oh Great I thought sarcastically I have to carry her home. I am not that strong so it took up all my energy carrying her there. It took me 5 minutes to just get her up on my back and balance her weight evenly across my shoulders.

It took about 45 minutes to get her to the infirmary, and the only thing that surprised me is that I never thought I could do that and that she hasn't woken up yet. She was so heavy when I got to the half way point I decided to shift her weight onto my arms.

After I made it to the door a bunch of Apollo guys swarmed around me and took her off my arms. 3 words… Thank The Gods!

I watched in awe as all of them got along as a team and they finished bandaging the bites, claw marks, and the long gash in her leg. The leg didn't look to well it was spewing out green foam. I asked the Apollo campers what was going on and they said she would be fine as soon as she ate some ambrosia. I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding. I mean I was very relieved that she was going to be ok, but she did yell at me. I was wondering what I was feeling for her right now. It wasn't long before one camper came up to me and asked questions. He asked me what I thought he would ask me. Questions like "What's her name? Where does she come from? How did she get injured?" and other things, but I just tuned him out. Eventually I just got irritated and I interrupted him and said "I don't know anything about her. I just came across her fighting the Chimera with these injuries. I also know that once I helped her defeat it she yelled at me and then her eyes turned a dark red and she had a red aura around her before she lost conciseness." "Wait" an Apollo camper said from behind me. I recognized him as soon as I saw him he was Will Solace. "We need to get this news to Chiron! I don't think he will be too happy that her eyes changed colors and she turned red!" he exclaimed. I rolled my eyes "Of course we do and I forgot to tell you." Will looked at me. "She also shot fire from her hands and her original eye color is green and when she shot fire from her hands she had brown eyes like me and the fire the Chimera was shooting did not burn her." Will had frightened eyes and ran his hands through his hair. "This is really not good…This is really really not good…" he muttered to himself.

After we went to the Big House and Will told Chiron about what happened he replied "This is not good. The world could end at mass destruction if we do not understand what is happening." Will fainted and I ran back to the infirmary as fast as my legs could take me. When I got there the girl was sitting up in her blue bed, and she did not look happy.
