Yang Xiao Long had graduated from Beacon Academy when Shao Kahn's forces invaded her realm, she remembered how his armies butchered her people and she remembered it was her sister's birthday. It was supposed to be a day of joy but she felt anything but happy. She was then resurrected by Shang Tsung as one of his creations and was given the enhanced senses of a demon, able to sense deceased souls. She was also given edenian long life, as more of a curse than a blessing, she also was given a taste for decaying flesh. She was to be a servant in the flesh pits who helped find stray souls and consume unneeded spare parts. She eventually escaped after another creation later named Meat left prematurely and left the door open. She later saw the battle of Armageddon take place in which she scavenged the corpses before coming up The Pyramid Of Argus to see Shao Kahn about to fight Blaze.
Yang:Shao Kahn! I won't let you claim the power of Armageddon!
Shao Kahn:Who are you?, and how dare you deny me what is rightfully mine!
Yang:I'm one of the many from Remnant you slaughtered, I was resurrected in Shang Tsung's flesh pits.
Shao Kahn:Well it seems your master has died!
Yang:He was never my master!
So they both began to fight, trading blow after painful blow, Shao Kahn with his Wrath Hammer and Yang with her Ember Celica and Yang seemed to be winning.
Shao Kahn:How are you so strong?
Yang:My soul manifests itself in such a way that I get stronger with each stronger with each hit I take.
Yang then breaks his neck, finally killing her sister's murderer.
Blaze:You've fought well, what is your name?
Yang:Yang Xiao Long.
Blaze:Do you seek my power as well?
Yang:Yes.
So the two of them fought in what might have been the greatest battle in all the realms, they fought for what seemed like hours but in truth it was a few minutes. Then Blaze was finally vanquished and exploded in a burst of flame, Yang became a goddess of fire who with Shao Kahn gone became the new ruler of Out-world. She restored her people and ruled as their beautiful queen, and finally she was reunited with her sister.
