Traitor

Kaminari sighed as he dropped onto his bed, absent-mindedly shoving a charger into his mouth on the way. Shuddering as he felt the electricity coursing through his body, he finally gave in and released some to dance his palm.

Suppressing his powers to the bare-minimum was exhausting but apparently it was needed for him to keep his cover. Although now everyone was being monitored in the dorms he didn't know what he was going to do about hiding everything. He'd have to be on constantly alert from here on out. At least no one had a mindreading quirk as far as he knew but he'd probably have to avoid Shinsou to stay on the safe side. Sneak out one more bit of information unnoticed and all suspicions on the students would be cleared right?

Sometimes he wondered what it would have been like if he wasn't recruited by Shigaraki and got to lead a normal life. Would he want to be a hero? Would he have even bothered to train his quirk enough to get into UA? Would he have real friends? Occasionally he found it difficult to tell the difference between his acting and his own personality. Of course he had a mission to do and that involved being chatty and likable but was he like that anyway? He couldn't remember…

Not that it mattered anyway. He was on a strong team, the winning team, and he had nothing to lose. Who wouldn't want that? The rest of these do-gooders were going to see their dreams crushed before their eyes and die young while the worst thing that could happen to him was imprisonment. And with a warp quirk on your side, prison wasn't much of a threat if you were prepared to wait for the right moment.

He hoped they would get on with it and kill All Might and Midoriya soon. Pretending he was incapable of things he could do in his sleep was hard enough on his pride let alone when those 'heroes' laughed at him. The only thing that kept his mouth clamped shut and a stupid smile plastered on his face was the thought of finally revealing his identity and seeing the horrified looks on his classmates' faces. If they survived that long that is.

Yes, that fuelled him. Every connection he made and deepened was going towards breaking his so called friends even further in the end. Maybe Shigaraki would let him kill one to rub salt in the wound. Todoroki would be fun especially since he was one of the strongest, not to mention the new top hero's son. Oh the attention for that would be glorious… Probably too much so for someone like him to be allowed the honour.

In that case another strong one was Bakugou but that'd be no fun since his reactions would probably be the same as usual. Maybe if he got Kirishima first that'd bring some more interesting emotions out of Bakugou and of course he wanted to pay him back fully for what he allowed to happen to himself in those bushes.

Destroying Uraraka or Tsuyu would also hit everybody hard but would it be better to have a huge impact on a specific person instead? He lay back and rubbed his eyes wearily before allowing them to slide shut. After all he still had time to dream didn't he? Before everything went down in flames.
