Sacrifice
The sun was setting on quiet Edge. On its horizon were two dots. One red and the other green. The quiet taller red dot was known as Vincent Valentine. The short energetic green one was known as Yuffie Kisaragi.. Vincent kept wondering how he got into this situation.
Flashback
Vincent was once again in his coffin in the Shinra Manor when he heard walking. `It better not be another giant bug' he thought as he readied his Cerberus just to be safe. When he opened the coffin he was greeted not by a bug but by smiling Yuffie. " Yuffie what do you want" he said holstering his Cerberus. " Geez Vincent no hello" she said and twirled to give him a letter from Cloud stating:
Dear Vincent,
We are reuniting AVALANCHE for a special event on the April 10th.
From Cloud.
Vincent sighed at the letter. That's when he noticed Yuffie was blushing enough to be noticed." Yuffie is something wrong" Vincent questioned. She turned around and said in a low mumble " …go… to the dance…with me…"? Vincent was surprised at the news and was going to answer but Yuffie interrupted" Only if you want to go" Vincent stood up, stepped towards Yuffie knowing he was going to regret it he said "Yuffie I'll accompany you to the occasion". Yuffie squeaked with excitement and hugged him then quickly blushed and backed off.
End Flashback
Now here he was with a Yuffie in clothing he thought she would never wear a dress. On the whole trip she thanked him for getting it for her. When they got to the door Vincent knocked with his claw. Tifa was the one to open the door with a surprised look. "Vincent I thought you would come alone". Vincent answered " I only came with Yuffie because she asked me to". When they walked in they found out Tifa, Cloud, and Red were the only ones at the party. " Where the hell is everyone" asked Yuffie. "Cids picking them up on the Shera" answered Cloud. After saying hi Vincent found a nice corner and leaned on it while he waited for the others to arrive.
That's when Yuffie stepped in front of him with a questioned face. Vincent looked up and for the first time in 5 years they met eye to eye. `He has nice eyes` she thought and `She has nice eyes` he thought. "Do you want something" he asked. "I just wanted to ask if you wanted some food". "No thanks" he answered just then he noticed a shadow at the window. He went to open the door but it was to late. He was bear hugged by Barret. "Was up foo"! Even though his body was almost invincible it could not withstand his bear hugs. "Barret …air is…needed" Vincent managed to say. "Sorry" he said letting go,. Followed by him were Marlene ,Cid, Shera, Reeve, Cait, and finally the Turks. After saying hello he thought he saw a shadow that didn't belong. "Vincent come on the party is starting" yelled Yuffie. After a while he returned to see what the surprise was going to be.
