Or You Could Kiss Me
Chapter 1
Bailey Gray was weird. She sat in the corner and stared at people and gave the creepiest smiles when someone caught her, but those smiles were more then capable of taking anyones breath away. She wore dark colors, mostly black, and her clothes were slightly provocative.
She never spoke to anyone without being spoken to, and was often captured in her own world. A world where you couldn't distract her, couldn't get her attention, and couldn't do one damn thing to snap her out of it. It was like she was hynotized by her own mind.
But the most amazing feature about her, was her eyes, those chocolate brown eyes that you wouldn't dare get lost in, in fear of never being found.
Rumor was, her dad left before she was born, and her mom took a few too many pills and killed herself when Bailey was only 10 years old. Strange things happened to her especially after that, and not even the strange things for an orphan, but strange things, period.
She was diagnosed with strong ADHD and couldn't read words no matter how hard she tried. It tended to anger her when the teachers called on her to read something, knowing that she would struggle with every letter. She would always give the teacher the worst glare (not a single person who she had glared at could resist a cringe) and would sit there and stare at a word and mummble.
This time was no different.
"In...19..27-" she began. Her words didn't sound like words at all, just noises.
"1972. That will do Bailey," Ms Cormac told her.
Bailey seethed. Her teacher had done that on purpose, and stopping her after a couple words? Unbelieveable.
She jumped to her feet and stomped up the row of seats and got right in her teachers face.
"You BITCH! You KNEW I wouldn't be able to read it!" she accused.
"That will do, Ms Korner. To the principal. NOW."
"Right." she mummbled under her breath before grabbing her backpack and striding out of the room.
She didn't go to the principal. Nope. She walked out of the building and lit a cigarette, taking a long drag from it as she walked 'home', black hair whipping around her from the intense winds, which seemed to appear from nowhere.
As she reacher the porch of the Mazens house (her foster parents), she flicked her cigarette into the bushes and unlocked the front door before walking in. As she rounded the corner for the stairs she ran straight into the Mazens oldest daughter, Jill, who had just turned 18.
"What are you doing home?" she asked, scrunching her eyebrows up.
"Teach was pickin' on lil ole me so I called her a bitch and here I am," she explained in short.
"Bailey. Highschool's the most important time of your life and you're spending it the wrong way," Jill scolded gently.
"Spare me the speech, school's out in 3 days."
"Still-"
"Still nothing."
She ran up the stairs and into her room, slamming the door shut before flopping onto her bed. She closed her eyes and pressed her palms down over them.
A creak in the floor alerted her to the presense of another person.
Her eyes flew open and she bolted upright. She looked into the eyes of a complete stranger.
Slow at the beginning but it'll get better I promise. In the next chapter she'll be heading off to Camp Half Blood. Maybe getting claimed, maybe not. Romance, drama, angst, friendship, hurt/comfort, etc etc. Oh and some sexual references but nothing to bad. Not reccomended for people uncomfortable with sex, or are very sheltered. Just saying. Kay, hope you guys like it. Review and let me know what you think. Tell me what I can improve on, what I can change, any ideas, what you like, dislike, and if anyone wants to be my beta. Kay, bye. Thanks for reading.
