Senju Tsunade is an easily disgruntled woman, she readily admits. It doesn't taker much to irritate and it takes a lot, once she's irritated, to bring her back to a calm state of mid. This time, however, Tsunade's reasonably certain that she has ample excuse to be annoyed and that most of the dating women of Konoha will agree with her.

Stupid brat.

All the world knows that when a woman volunteers to go back to her boyfriend's house after a romantic dinner there can be only one explanation. Dan ought to know that too, and he seemed to recognize it at first because he got that pleased, triumphant look in his eye that Tsunade always found so flattering.

But when they got back to his house and the babysitter left, Shizune woke up. Dan's four-year-old orphaned niece crept into her uncle's bedroom just as things were getting good.

She, tearful and sniffling, said the lightning outside scared her, and Dan smiled sympathetically at his niece and looked up at Tsunade.

"I think we can accommodate you for tonight." Dan strokes Shizune's dark hair and looks up, faintly imploring, at his girlfriend. "Right, Tsunade?"

Tsunade just barely keeps from rolling her eyes. "Yeah, sure."

Now, the little rugrat's lying in the middle of the bed between Tsunade and Dan and the former's lying awake, watching rain slide down the window and the occasional flash of lightning split the sky.

Of their own accord, her eyes shift over to her boyfriend and his niece.

Reluctantly, Tsunade smile. The kid's kinda cute like that. And Dan and Shizune look ridiculously alike in this position, not that they don't look ridiculously alike already.

Oh well. You win, kid. I'll make sure you're outta the house the next time I start thinking about sex.
