Summary: Maya hears Riley singing the song "heart like yours" in her room when Maya appears in the bay window one day. Maya watches the girl in awe in all her beauty and starts humming along.
It was sunny day in New York. Maya could hear music coming from the very familiar bay window. She climbed up the fire escape to hear a soft, gentle, and soothing voice.
Maya had never heard Riley sing before, but now she wish she had. She watched as Riley swayed to the music, and danced around the room to the music. Riley continued to dance and sing, Maya hadn't realized how beautiful Riley was.
Her hair brunette hair glimmered slightly in the sun, the pink, lacy dress, fitting her figure well. "Wow, Riles." Maya whispered to herself. I try to reach out for you but I fall. Sometimes you seem so close and yet so far.
Maya wished she could tell the innocent brunette how she felt. But, she knew it wouldn't end well if she did.
While Maya was thinking, she found herself humming to the song. Closing her eyes for a second to take in the fresh air coming through the window. When she opened them she saw this:
Riley had spun around and pointed her finger at Maya as she sang the lines. A heart like yours, is my desire. A heart like yours, is what I am searching for. Then, she danced toward Maya, and grabbed her arm.
Maya blushed at the amount of contact they had as Riley pulled her closer, and spun around the room with her. Riley dipped her at the end of the song. "Peaches, how long have you been watching me?" "Long enough to realize you have a great voice."
Riley giggled at the flirty remark. "Thank you." "Of course Riles." They stayed in the dipped position, and then Riley did the unthinkable.
"So Riley when are we-" She cut her off with a short, sweet kiss. "Thank you for dancing with me Maya." "O-of course Honey." Maya's face was red as a tomato. "S-So, can I get up from being dipped now?" "Oh, whoops."
Riley laughed and let Maya stand. Maya hadn't let go of Riley's hand though. A mischievous smirk on her face as she fell back onto the bed and Riley with her. Maya pulled Riley close and said, "payback," before giving her a quick kiss. Then, leaving a surprised Riley and going out the window, with a satisfied look on her face.
