(A/N): Fifth request from the ABC meme on LiveJournal.
1. Pick a letter.
2. Pick a prompt that starts with that letter (ex. K is for Keyhole)
3. Pick a fandom / comic / webcomic and a character/pairing.
Leave them in a comment and I'll write a drabble of it. No repeats in letters.
See my profile for what fandoms I'll write.
T- Tolerate // Yu-Gi-Oh! GX // Ryo x Edo
Haven't written these two before. Hope this works out!
T is for Tolerate
Marufuji Ryo didn't know how on Earth he could stand being around Edo Phoenix.
Yes, he had gained a reputation as the Kaiser of Duel Academia, and a bigger reputation for being one of the most stoic duelists around. His best friends in the Academia had been Fujiwara Yuusuke (who had been a nutcase in the making, if the stories from Juudai were true) and, heaven forbid, Tenjouin Fuubuki, the practical human incarnation of nonsense. He had been able to befrend those two and escape with his sanity intact.
But not Edo Phoenix. For some damned reason, that slim, silver haired little boy (he refused to call that brat a man) who registered as merely someone with an overly large ego and far too much snobbiness managed to crawl under his skin and taunt him in the most irritating ways possible.
He was always sticking his nose into things that didn't concern him. Ryo had warned him to keep to himself, he had made it his own policy to stay out of things that didn't concern himself, but no, this boy just had to go and get himself involved with the emotional troubles of Ekou and Amon and get himself blown up. He came back later with everyone else, but Ryo still couldn't forgive him for that.
That boy was always obsessed with superheroes. Ryo had given those up when he was eight, deciding that superheroes weren't real and he'd have to be strong enough on his own to get through anything and everything. That belief was slightly cracked when Juudai and his Heroes had pulled him into a draw; but Juudai didn't proclaim his belief in heroes, so it was easy to think that he just liked the cards.
But then it was absolutely shattered when he lost to the boy who acted like he was an adult and his own heroes. It got worse when he heard his constant prattlings about destiny and true heroes...and completely and utterly unbearable when the boy turned out to have a hero complex, fancying himself a savior. How could he be defeated by an idiot hero-boy who thought that heroes could save his dead daddy?
No, this was completly intolerable.
And yet the two stayed around together. Ryo didn't know why.
Maybe they just needed somebody to hate and pit their ideas off of, somebody who could disagree and fight with them over it, to give them satisfaction if they won against them, motivation to work harder if they didn't.
Edo was certianly the perfect target for him, if that was the case.
