"A Visit To Smith's Grove"

The alarm clock on Rachel Carruthers' nightstand went off. She turned it off, sat up, and got out of bed. Today was the day—the day she would visit Jamie at Smith's grove. She ate breakfast, took a morning shower, got dressed, and drove all the way to Smith's Grove. When she arrived there she met up with Dr. Loomis who took her to Jamie's room. As they entered Jamie's room, Jamie was sitting in a chair facing the window.

"Jamie? Your sister is here to see you" Loomis said. Jamie turned her head around to look at them. Her face was pale and emotionless and her eyes were black. "Hey funny face. How's my little foster sister?" Rachel said as she walked over to Jamie and hugged her. Jamie didn't respond. Rachel frowned as she broke away from Jamie. She knew in her heart that the evil that once consumed Michael now consumed Jamie, and it was too late for her.

"We're trying to get through to her" Loomis told her, but he too knew it was no use. He knew that Jamie was beyond help, just like Michael had been. "I know you're doing your best. Thank you" Rachel replied—trying to hide the sadness in her voice. All these years Rachel had been guilt-ridden. She had blamed herself for what had happened to Jamie—for leaving her alone in that truck that Halloween night in 1988. She had spent that whole night trying to protect her from her uncle, only for her to end up becoming him.

She lived and lost a lot: her mother, her boyfriend, and her little sister. She was now in college and still trying to recover from that horrible night. She had a new boyfriend now, and he helped her cope with her trauma, as well as her therapist. She bid Loomis farewell, and exited Jamie's room. On the drive him she cried. When she got home she went straight to her room, and sobbed into her pillow. Her life was hell!
