Just the way I am

Chapter 1

I slowly and quietly opened the door to the apartment. I knew what my mother's reaction was going to be in the morning or maybe she expected it by now. I tried to look around the dark room but I wasn't taking any risk by turning on the light. When I finally made it my room, I closed the door before turning on my light. I looked around; my room was pretty simple. Pale walls, tan carpet, a bed, computer desk, and a small t.v. I was hardly ever in here so it really didn't bother me much. I mean, yeah most girls my age would probably have bright colors and a lot better stuff then I do. But, like I said it doesn't bother me since I'm only in here when I'm asleep, that is if I come home at night which I did tonight or should I say morning. I just now noticed it was already 3:15am. I'm not surprised though this is the usual time I would get home anyway.I was majorly tired so I striped off my clothes and put on a big over-sized t-shirt and some boy shorts. I climbed into bed and got under the covers and slowly fell asleep.

I woke up to the sun beaming in through my window. I groaned and glanced at the clock, it was 1:43pm. Crap. I rose from my bed and stood up. I changed out of my t-shirt and boy shorts and put on some sweat pants and a regular t-shirt. I walked out of my room and across the hallway and stuck my head in my mom's room. She was asleep. Figures, I think she's going through a depressing stage but I didn't care. I never care.

It was now a quarter past 1:00am. I was smoking a cigarette and watching my friends be drunk as god knows what. I mean sure I've been drunk a time or two but I hate the morning after that. We were at the beach, far from anywhere would even bother coming. It smelt like alcohol and drugs, something I was used to. I decided to get up and go for a walk I didn't decide to tell my friends because I knew they would forgot the minute I told them. As I was walking along the beach it started to get a little chilly so I wrapped my arms around myself. I could see a figure in the distance but I didn't bother looking twice. I decided to stop walking and sit down in the sand. I thought about how I've gotten here and what I become but I was quickly pulled out of thought when I heard a voice. "Hey." The voice was deep so it was obviously a guy. I turned and looked at him all though it was quiet hard since it was probably about 2am right now. "Hi." I said quietly. I wasn't really shy when it came to meeting new people but there was something about this guy that gave me the chills.
