Another original Jay-Jay story, this time it's "The Speedlights" Enjoy and comment.
One morning, Brenda Blue and some workmen came to see the airplanes of Tarrytown. They had big news.
"We are going to install some new speedlights here at Tarrytown Airport." announced Brenda Blue.
"What are speed-lights?" asked Jay-Jay.
"Speedlights are for safety." explained Brenda Blue, "and to help prevent accidents."
"But how do they work?" asked Tracy.
"They work like this." said Brenda Blue as she turned on the speedlight. "When the light is green, it means that it's safe to go. When it's yellow, it means to slow down. And when it's red, it means to stop."
The other airplanes were amazed with the speedlight.
"However, we must respect these speedlights. Ww don't want any accidents to happen."
"Of course!" replied Old Oscar. "We must be safe here."
"I'll respect them with pride." said Big Jake.
That evening, the speedlights were installed throughout the airports.
Signs were placed as well, warning about the speedlights.
The next morning, Big Jake woke up bright and early.
He wanted to take a look at the speed-lights.
As he approached the speed-lights, he had an idea.
"I want to see how fast I can go!" he thought.
So he revved his motor, and began to race.
But when he approached the speed light, the light had turned to yellow, and as he raced by, to red.
Brenda Blue was watching from the speed camera.
"I'm going to have a talk with him." she said.
Finally, Big Jake came to a stop… just as Brenda Blue had came out.
Brenda Blue was very disappointed at Big Jake.
"What were you thinking?" she asked. "You're very lucky that there was no accident or crash."
"I'm sorry." said Big Jake. "I should have known better to slow down."
"I see. Well then Big Jake, I think a fair time-out in the hangar will suit you best."
Big Jake sadly went away.
He had learned that he should pay attention to signals, because they are there to help you."
