Aragorn smiled as he watched Arwen standing on of the balcony's at Gondor. He watched as she closed her eyes and let the gentle breeze flow through her hair. Her hands rested lightly on the railing and he saw her smiled softly. She knew he was stand behind her, just watching. Aragorn heard a soft cough and looked over at Elrond beside him.
"Sorry my lord" Aragorn said softly "I was caught up in my thoughts"
"Yes, I could see that" Elrond said with a soft smile
"Can I do something for you?"
"I was saddened when she did not go with her people. But I am glad now she is with you. She would have been safe but deeply saddened. I am glad now she is happy. I trust her happiness to you now your majesty. I am leaving soon, look after my daughter"
"I will my lord, I would give my life so that she may have peace and happiness"
Elrond smiled and patted the younger mans shoulder before turning and walking away. Aragon smiled before he walked out onto the balcony and wrapped his arms against Arwen's waist. She leaned back into his arms and smiled softly.
"I'm glad you're here with me" Aragorn whispered softly "I could have lost you forever"
"But you didn't my love, I am here with you Estel" Arwen replied
"I am glad for that"
"What did my father want love?"
"To make sure you were happy with me"
"But I am, I have never been happier"
"I am glad, because I don't know if I could bear the thought of losing you"
Arwen turned in his embrace and kissed Aragorn softly before gently taking his hand and leading him back inside.
