Prologue
Akari's POV
It was a nice spring day. It's around the time when the cherry blossoms are in bloom, and the birds are singing their song for all to hear, but most importantly, school in Japan has begun.
My name is Akari Chen, and I have a twin sister named Hanabi Chen. We get along very well and she's also my best friend. We just moved from Shanghai, China because our father was promoted to a Japanese Embassy that requires all of us to live in Japan. We moved to our new house in Tokyo nearly 3 days ago, and we're still adjusting to the culture here. Since my mom is Japanese, she teaches us more about Japan, but half the time we don't even know what she's saying.
We left in the middle of the chinese school year since Japan's school year starts in March. Neither Hanabi nor I even wanted to move to Japan. What kind of school doesn't even provide air conditioning in the buildings? I even heard from our mom that there's even a period of time to clean the buildings…. My entire life in China was gone in a blink of an eye, and now we're forced to go to Japan because of some promotion?! I can't deal with this! The only bright side is I have Hanabi with me… but that's it.
