I stand, facing the billowing, black clouds and I feel the rain wash over me
Thunder rumbles all around me, and distantly, I hope I am hit by the lightening
You never cared. So why should I?
Wind whips my hair behind me, and I slowly spread my arms out beside me, feeling air rush between my fingers
...his fingers, laced through mine...
My eyes close and I feel tears roll down my face, as memories flash through my head
...his hand brushing my cheek...him stroking my hair...his arms around me...
Then, I scream, letting emotion rip throughout me.
Dropping to my knees, I grab fistfuls of earth, trying to regain what little control I have over myself.
My heart pounds, with each beat, a word repeats
Why?
Wrenching sobs escape my throat as pain bursts through the careful walls I have made
...never loved you...nothing to him...
I collapse on the ground, rain pounding down, letting darkness overcome me
