A really tiny Christmas fic, no plot, no drama, maybe a little bit of fluff. Hope you enjoy it. And I wish you all Merry Christmas, too :)

There was no such thing as white Christmas in the town of Austin, Texas. Something was falling down the sky, but it sure wasn´t snow. It was rain. Gloomy, wet and cold rain. However, their Christmas tree was decorated and standing tall, it´s lights shining through the whole night. Gifts, gifts which were all simple and needed, were placed under the Christmas tree. Even though it were just simple things, like socks, some strange and new tea, which Jane never tasted before, or a nice new gun safe (that one wasn´t that simple), those things didn´t really matter. What mattered the most was the warm and fuzzy feeling they felt while sleeping in, together, snuggled up cozily. The morning came and went, and yet, those two people still lied in their bed, bed which was just shipped in here two days ago. It could be considered as an early Christmas gift as well. For both of them.

Lisbon had never dreamed of spending Christmas like this. The usually workaholic, town person, had fallen in love with the peace and tranquility which the cabin standing in the middle of nowhere provided.

Their bedroom smelled like cinnamon from the non-alcoholic punch Jane made the other day. Rain drops were falling on the roof, making soothing noises, those kind of noises that made you regret leaving bed, ever.

"We should get up," someone murmured from under the covers, then yawned, making the initial statement a lot less believable.

"Should we? To be honest, I do not really want to..."

"Me neither," she muttered, running her hand through his wild and still a little damp curls (there was a reason why both of them slept in...), "but some of us are hungry..."

Jane smiled. "Stay here then, I´ll be right back," he said.

"M´kay," she muttered, pulling the cover over herself once more. It was nice, warm and it smelled like Jane. She could have gotten up, to help Jane with whatever he was doing, yet, it was hard to get up. Pregnancy messed up with her hormones and staying up late to do...well, adult stuff, made her tired. Beyond tired.

Tired and hungry.

At least the morning sickness was finally gone.

She smiled as the heavenly scent of fresh, homemade pancakes tickled her senses.

Breakfast in bed.

She couldn´t wait.

Food was not the only she couldn´t wait for. This Christmas, Lisbon managed to do something she never really did while working all those years before.

Well, it wasn´t just her own making. Cho helped a lot too. She didn´t really needed to explain how she and Jane haven´t got a proper Christmas for over a decade. Or how it was their first Christmas together this year, not to mention those times, when she and Jane spent their holidays working in the CBI, so the others could have a nice time.

Cho understood.

He gave them a two weeks off - as a Christmas gift. (A much needed one) Uninterrupted. He got Agents from other units to cover their leave.

Jane had no idea about this little agreement between her and Cho and Lisbon was particularly proud of keeping this little secret away from him.

Few minutes later which Lisbon spent dozing off wearing a smile on her face, Jane appeared, holding a tray with their breakfast.

Lisbon´s eyes fluttered open as she rubbed at them leisurely, "You really know how to make a woman happy, Patrick Jane."

"Meh, this is nothing," he replied, sitting down.

Lisbon sat up, grinning, "It´s more then I could possibly ask for," she replied sincerely, happy to notice Jane blushing a little.

They ate in the bed, not caring for soiling bed sheets with maple syrup and crumbs as they needed to be washed anyway.

Lisbon took her time before announcing that they in fact don´t have to go to work tomorrow. Or the day after. Or the week after.

But once she did, the look on Jane´s face was the best gift she could get.
