hello everyone. I am making this because it could be fun, it could be entertaining who knows. hopefully, some of you will stick with this story. it might be garbage, it might be amazing. that's for you to decide. and hopefully, in the end, you may learn something. but without further ado, I introduce to you,

ALPHA AND OMEGA

decisions

It was now or never. Home was only a couple of miles away, and I had a choice to make. And a big one. The air was chilly, with the moon high in the night, lighting up the whole entire sky with the stars in harmony. I lost my gaze while thinking, as I stared out into the world, my eyes vacant. I needed to decide if I should wake her up, and run away with her. or maybe wake her up and go back home, back to my normal life, possibly without Kate in it. then it hit me. What was I thinking? How could I do that to kate? To take her against her will, I knew she wouldn't be happy without her family, and she also had her "responsibilities" as an Alpha. There was no way I could do that to her. I sighed, and looked down to her face and leaned down to nudge her awake. Because if I waited any longer, I might change my mind.

I nudged her cheek with my muzzle "Kate. Kate wake up." I said gently, with no response. I nudged her again, and this time she groaned, and her eyes fluttered open. "Humphrey?" she asked. She slowly stood and stretched her muscles, releasing them from the grasps of sleep.

"We- were almost home," I said, adding an awkward smile.

She quickly turned her attention to the world outside flying by. She padded her way over to the edge of the open cart, the wind catching her fur in the wind. she sat down. As she was studying the view, looking for memorable landmarks, or anyway for her to find our way back home. her eyes studying the endless sea's of pines, and the Great looming mountains bordering the scenery. It was almost relaxing. I strolled up next to her and began to search as well while I took a seat next to her.. When our eyes caught something, it came into view. The mountains that surrounded the valley. We were home.

Since last night, after we howled together, I had wanted to tell her. I wanted to tell her that I loved her so bad. I wanted to tell her I had for a long time. I had no idea how she would react. But it was now or never before she had to return to "barf".

I looked at her and began to speak, and she did the exact same. I smiled, embarrassed looking away from her. "Please, you first." I edged on while holding my smile, wondering what she might say.n she took a deep breath and began.

"Humphrey, I just wanted to say that these past few days with you, they've been… fun." she looked at her paws, and back up to me nervously. "You've been... fun." she finished. I was filled with excitement. "Really?" I asked smiling. I had always wondered if she felt the same way for me, this gave me the confidence to be able to tell her.

She smiled "Really." for a few seconds we stood in silence until I realized she was waiting for me to tell her what I wanted to say. Oh no. nervousness washed the smile off my face. I started to fumble my paws, while I gazed at the paint-chipped wooden boards that made up the bottom of the cart. Kate noticed my fumbling paws, making me shake even more.

"Wait Wait, don't tell me, you have to go to the bathroom again," she questioned jokingly. I gave her a witty response. "Why, do you see one nearby?" I asked chuckling nervously. She continued to look at me smiling, awaiting what I had to say. I cleared my throat and looked back to the floor, a look of somber washing over my face.

"Well, I just wanted to tell you that I… that I lov-," after all this time, I was finally going to do it. I was going to tell her! I looked up smiling, expecting her to be there, but when I looked, my confession was cut off midway, as I was met with empty air. I quickly scanned the cart, and eventually looked out the entrance of the cart and saw kate running towards the Western and Eastern pack, about ready to attack each other, the moonlight making the glimmering teeth and shimmering salvia shine. Snarls, howls, and growls filled the valley. We were in trouble, and without a second thought in my mind, I jumped after the love of my life.
