A.N:- I don't own any of these characters or the anime.

--Prologue- -

Nagato Yuki entered the clubroom...

Ah, I believe it to be entirely illogical to refer to myself as Nagato Yuki. Simply, the introductory sentence should be taken as just that- a sentence designed to introduce the author of this informative piece of writing. As you are probably aware, I remained a member of the literary club for the first and only three years of my life, which has given me the impression that an introductory sentence should contain the name of the narrator, if one was to speak in first person.

However, very few fiction novels seem to contain a first person point of view, and therefore contain a brief synopsis of the character, but as this is a non-fiction account of my daily life with one Suzumiya Haruhi it should simply start with the name of the person recounting the events. And, as I have beforehand stated, my name is Nagato Yuki, but you should already be aware, as I have now said that three times.

I am a humanoid interface, or artificial human, created by the Integrated Data Entity for the purposes of interacting with and observing events on Earth. My specific mission is to observe Suzumiya Haruhi and the large quantities of data that she can create and merge for her own will. Suzumiya-san represents the potential for an evolution in autonomy; an ability that the Integrated Data Entity does not have. I would otherwise explain the consequences of Suzumiya's vast capabilities, yet the ability to do so would be going against the Integrated Data Entity.

As I have beforehand stated, during the introductory paragraph in which it appears that I have digressed too much information into, this is my daily account of my activities with Suzumiya-san and the 'SOS Brigade' which-sadly I am unable to say fortunately-I have been involved for a few months. The clubs activities have no stated transmission of time, preferring to lean towards Suzumiya-san's whims. But, as the ESPers summarize in a more sophisticated terminology, she is God.

Suzumiya-san appears to have gathered all of the club members for her own needs. Alien: Nagato Yuki. Time Traveler: Asahina Mikuru. ESPer: Koizumi Itsuki. The only member with no apparent interest to Suzumiya-san is the human Kyon, full name unknown. We have been unable to retract data on this species, and must assume that Kyon is there only to amuse Suzumiya-san. He seems to cope well with his duty to amuse Suzumiya-san, better than most mortals who come into contact with her. Frequently, I have seen her dismissed by ordinary human beings because she lacks the social skills widely accepted in society.

However, I can no longer ignore my complete dismissal of my prior purpose. To recapture events I must once again continue with the 'story-telling' air to the piece of writing, as a factual report of events will contain too many plot holes and moments of confusion. It is my great sadness that non-fiction must become fiction for the understanding of most mortals who are continuing to read this report. Please continue…

AN:-

I know that it's short, but I couldn't make it any longer. The next chapter will start the story, this is just the…Author's Note. Nagato-san's explanation. ^^ I'll try to update as soon as possible.
