I am so sorry this isn't better! I lost my original idea and this is what I ended up with. I hope you like it!

When Tifa came home from grocery shopping, the last thing she expected to see was a large red monkey hoping around a crying Ellie. And even more shocking, it was talking...and it sounded like Reno! "Reno?" Tifa stepped forward hesitantly. "Ellie? What's going on?"

Ellie looked up, eyes wide before rushing towards her mother. "I wasn't trying anything! I was just trying out a new spell!" And with that, Ellie recited the spell.

A cover of smoke surrounded Tifa, and when it dissolved, there stood a large brown bear. Ellie's eyes widened as she rocked backwards while Tifa examined herself, muttering under her breath.

"Tifa!" Reno threw himself at Tifa, grabbing her around the neck. "What happened?" he asked, burying his head into her brown fur.

Tifa pulled Reno lose from her neck, preferring to hold him in her paws. "A transformation Materia. It transforms only the person who doesn't have the material." Tifa frowned for a moment before turning slowly to Ellie. "Ellie, could you say the words again?"

Ellie, having gone into slight shock over the fact her parents were animals-talking animals, reacted by screaming and trying to run out the door. Reno lunged and landed on her head, screaming at her to stop. Ellie ran through the half-open door, only to run into Vincent. Surprised, Ellie threw her arms around him and began to cry again. Vincent slowly took in the scene. Tifa was a bear, Reno was a monkey and Ellie was hysterical. Sighing, he picked Ellie up. This was not, he thought to himself, how he wanted to spend his night.

*Half an hour later*

With Ellie safely in bed, and the materia taken from her, all was soon back to normal. One question remained, however. "Reno, how did Ellie get the materia?" Tifa and Vincent both zeroed in on the Turk, who laughed nervously.

Standing up, he took a few steps toward the stairs. "I don't know?" he replied, holding up his hands in surrender.

Tifa reacted first. "You don't know?" she roared, pulling out a frying pan to chase her husband around the bar. Vincent chuckled quietly, and went upstairs to make sure Ellie was still asleep.
