Chapter 1
Whiskey Lullaby.
" Alice get out here, we're guna be late!", as always Alice was taking her sweet ass time to get ready on the other hand, it only took me 10 min and I was ready for road. Alice had always been this way, our 2nd grade play was delayed due to her making her own alterations to her costume. Alice was a fire-ball, she always got her way and anybody who stepped in her way regretted it and I loved her for it, she always was there for me. Alice and I had met when we were just 3 and we were inseparable ever sense.
" Jesus B, give a girl a break, Mike told me Jasper his cousin was going to be there so I need be looking my best!", Alice was a bit of a romantic, she had seen Jasper about 2 years ago and decided he was the man she would marry. I on the other hand had a new husband to be ever other weekend.
" Well if you don't your ass in gear we'll be late an everythin' will be gone before we get there, Mike told me to get there at least an hour to pay for my stuff, soooo Hurry up Princess."
Tonight was one of Mike's big parties of the year so we needed make it Port Angeles before anybody else to get my purchases. Mike had been my dealer since I was 15 when my mother decided to leave me and Dad, at least Charlie doesn't try and make as much time for me as he used to otherwise I would never get away with all the stuff I get away with. Charlie owns about 4 vineyards and spends all his time with his 20 something girlfriend Sue, at the moment I think they are in Spain.
" You know that stuff ain' good for you, don't ya?", Alice always the angel on my right shoulder.
" Really? What? I never knew but then again it makes me feel great so let's get on the road.. Biotch! "
As we were walking out to my new SUV (Daddy forgot to call me on my birthday! ) my phone started to buzz, I knew it was from that annoying mutt from last Friday.
Mark - Hey Bella you in Mikes tonyt? Cnt wait c my beauty! Xxxx
"Oh how it must be hard being irresistible?" I heard Alice squeak out trying not to laugh.
Bella - Mark, dnt evn cum near me tonyt! Bye :-)
" Wow that was harsh B, lighten up he seemed nice. " She always saw the nice in everybody , what she didn't see were the 20 text I received from him already today calling me all sort of disgusting pet names.
" Well, what can I say I've a heart of ice now come on… we can't be late!"
And off we went, I had a feeling tonight would be an interesting night.
