She'd lost count of the amount of times she'd gone back after leaving, Coach Sylvester never did figure out which Cheerio hadn't handed their key back in so again there she stood in the empty auditorium at Mckinley.
Standing on that empty stage under the bright lights made her feel closer to her somehow, and if she closed her eyes long enough it was like she was there with her.
She hummed softly to herself as she lightly danced the choreography that even five years later were still burned into her memory from the last time they all performed together.
A single tear fell down her cheek as she twirled; her chest ached as she once again realized what she'd lost because she was a coward.
She stopped humming and almost crumpled to the floor as her sobs rang out.
She drew her knees up to her chest and just cried.
Her eyes were stinging and the tears showed no signs of letting up when she heard the screech of shoes, she looked up to see Sue Sylvester walking towards her.
"Q" she called, "you need to stop this"
Quinn pulled herself to her feet and wiped furiously at her eyes.
"Sorry Coach, I'll give you the key" she said holding said key out.
"I'm not talking about the breaking and entering" Sue said gently but took the key back any way, "you need to stop beating yourself up about things that happened years ago..or didn't happen"
Quinn bit her lip and looked to the ground.
"I always knew, Q. Was I tough? Sure. Out of line? 180% of the time, but I certainly wasn't blind. I knew about S and B and I always knew you had feelings for that determined midget. Why else would you of gone out of your way to torture her? Your crush on Rachel Berry was about as obvious as the product in Will Schuster's hair and like that hair it did nothing but grow until you didn't know what to do with yourself, so what did you do? Got yourself drunk and knocked up and passed around like a cup of spiked punch at a frat party"
"Please don't act like you know what this is like" The blonde managed to croak.
Sue placed a hand on her shoulder.
"I'm not acting. I watched Santana almost destroy herself because she was in denial. She got fake sand bangs for crying out loud, Q, god knows how her self esteem must've been. I can't imagine what it must be like having to watch the one you love be with everyone but you, but I know you identify with that. Rachel wasn't stupid either, Quinn. I think deep down she knew, why else would she of tried so hard?"
"She'd never love me" the girl murmured before sniffing slightly.
"How would you know?" Sue challenged, "maybe you weren't the only one keeping secrets"
Quinn looked thoughtfully at her old coach.
"So here's my final tidbit of advice; tell her. Look her up on bookface or harass her on myspace or even mail her fan club"
Quinn laughed bitterly, "It's been five years"
"It has, but you still love her as much as you did back then and word on the gossip blogs is that she's still single. Hasn't been linked with anybody since her first movie"
"Why are you trying to help me, Coach?"
Sue smiled before leading the girl off the stage and down the corridor back towards the Mckinley front doors.
"Because you're Quinn Fabray" she stated simply as she held open the door. "and I don't want to see you in here again"
